    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not for the faint of heart...there's really not much 'healthy' about these, but they make up for that in sheer chocolatey goodness. This is my grandmother's recipe - admittedly, she probably got this off of the back of a box way back when but so what. It's been in our family now for over fifty years, and is always requested during holidays. Says something about the flavor!

Anyways, on to the recipe.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the following:
3 cups white sugar (no substitutions allowed...already mentioned they weren't healthy.)
1 1/2 cups flour*
1 cup dutch cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder

*if not using all-purpose flour, add a teaspoon of salt and extra teaspoon of baking powder. Also, one cup flour and 1/2 cup ground flaxseed works well if you want to change it up a bit.

After stirring, add:
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
6 eggs
1 or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
(depends on the strength/flavor intensity of your extract - standard store bought stuff, 2 tsp. - fancy vanilla, 1 tsp.)

Mix well then pour into an oiled 9"x13" pan (pyrex/glass seems to work best) and bake at 350°F for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Remove and try to let cool for 20min or so before cutting into squares. Serve warm with ice-cream on top. Enjoy. :D
