    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any thought to creating a page of definitions? I know this may open a can of worms, but there are an aweful lot of terms, abbreviations, acronyms, etc. flying around out there and it is very hard to keep up??

CB- Captive bred. As opposed to wild caught

Het- A gene that does not express itself (unlike me) but can be bred to another animal with appropriate genetic material and then the next generation will express the trait.

BOI- Board of Inquiry- a forum where those who have either praise or problems with particular vendors can post their experience; the resulting collection of posts can give an idea about the quality, customer service, and/or ethics of a vendor and is at times quite entertaining.

GTP- Green tree python

ETB- Emerald Tree Boa

ATB- Amazon Tree Boa

FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions

User CP- I never figured this one out, perhaps the CP stands for corpuscles, as in red corpuscles and white corpuscles, the primary cells of the circular system. Control Panel.

Hell- A special place for the socially unskilled to duke it out without the rest of us having to watch. Of course, those who are polite and have excellent social skills sometimes go slumming there. Also quite entertaining.

OK, anyone else have some abbreviations and definitions to share?

Val-

Perhaps it would be helpful to list a few of the abbreviations and such you are referring to. I'm sure there are more than enough people here that would gladly help with anything you'd like to know.
