    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OK, so I just bought a house, and it needs some basic repairs. I rebuilt the attic into the master bedroom, and am now redoing the old master bedroom into my herp (aka: gecko) room. I don't have a projected close on the house till the end of Dec, so won't be moving in till Jan. I was OK'ed ahead of time to do the repairs and such anyway, and due to contingencies if the deal does not go through then i get re-imbursed.

But anyway, what would you put in a room if you where starting from scratch? The b asic room looks like below. The left hand side wall is being converted into one long rack sysytem. It will be 6' high x 13' long. I plan on building an open area in the middle to house my incubator as well once I find one I like. Since I am converting the wall itself into the rack system, I will be able to wire everything up and keep it back in the wall itself to hide all the wiring which will keep it nice and clean. Directly across from that wall is a huge bow window that is 4 panes wide, about 7'. I think that will work nice for keeping the room nice and bright and letting the geckos know night from day very well. It also faces east so it can get the nice morning sun. The room is about 10' wide, that rack will take up 2' of that. the '/' are doors that open into the room.

So any great idea's you think I can add that could be usefull? I am currently thinking about heat. Probably a space heater of some sort. This is on the second floor, and it seems to stay fairly cool, so additional heat might be a good idea here. I'm thinking my work desk will go right in front of the window. But i dunno.
