SERIOUSLY??? Because we had flawless transactions we are lying???? no sweetheart. We are not all buddies... we do not all hang out together and eat smores around the camp fire. It has all been strictly business transactions that went smoothly. It's that simple. I am sorry that the rest of you have had problems, but this is the BOI and while others have negative experiences, We have had positive so we have the right to post our positive transactions on here just as much as you have the right to post your negative.

Easy folks. I said "intentionally lying ." I never said that there is no way you could have had a good transaction with this man, but the extent that you are willing to defend him is baffling.
William, I have kept willardi before, captive bred european stock. And whoever said that the venomous community is tight knit is correct... which is another reason I am going to such extents to out james earl/brian lee. I have personally been *given* cool animals to hold onto, and know of others who have had the same experience. Brian Lee told me that he was uncomfortable with these animals. I would have been glad to pay him, but he offered to give them to me. Even before mention of those, I cut him a fantastic deal on a hypo prairie rattlesnake. (OH and don't mention the pictures of animals that don't even belong to him. I was completely honest from the beginning about what I owned. He commited fraud just by stealing someone else's pictures to represent animals that he did not have.) It's not about the money to me. There are certain species that you like and some you don't care to keep. If I came across a free ball morph worth thousands of dollars, I'd trade in an instant for malay pit viper.
And I reiterate here, ITS NOT ABOUT THE $25. Its about some guy getting off on jerking people around. Its about putting a warning out to the reptile community to exercise some caution should they deal with this guy. Its about having good business ethics, which some in the reptile business are severely lacking.

FULL NAMES are required on each posting you make on the BOI. Anyone failing to adhere to this simple rule has subjected their message to possibly being deleted. Anyone using a false name may be subjecting ALL of their messages to possibly being deleted as well has having their account removed from this site upon discovery.

@ Focal X and SMB 2585, according to the BOI rules he has been lying to us all as his real name is Brian Lee McGuire. I have now contacted 3 other people that have had bad experiences with this guy and were given the same address AFTER i went to the house and it was empty. We are all just now getting together and finding out that all of our stories match, even down to the phone dropped in the kool aid. This does warrant a bad guy thread as I have started because he IS a bad guy. We understand you had a good experience with him and that is great, we too wish we had the same. BUT WE DIDNT ! We are not on here just to bash a guy because we have nothing better to do, he has lied to us enough and we are getting our story out. I am still in the process of getting emails and texts together to post by either myself or one of the other 3 involved. In the end this guy WILL be called out as a bad apple in the reptile community.

I am not going to any other extent other than to say that I had a transaction that was smooth with James Earl (That is his posted name on his account so that is what I will refer to him by and have NEVER heard the name Brian Lee McGuire until this post was started). I have said that we had no issues with finding the house, no issues with conducting business. You both posted your negative issues, we posted our positive. That is what the BOI is for. This thread is about JAMES EARL... I posted my transaction with JAMES EARL... it was nice... and I will do business with him again if he sells something else I am interested in. Point Blank. I am not going back and forth with you two over this. You posted your story, I posted mine. Hopefully people can see that you are referring to "brian lee mcguire" and I am referring to James Earl. In the end if they are to end up being the same person then that will be on James' plate to deal with but as of now, I am sticking with my transaction being satisfactory with JAMES EARL. Since one of you is a new member and the other has participated very little I'll address this here rather than issuing infractions.
These sort of statements are not allowed on a BOI thread. If you mention information stated by a third party, then that person must be named, otherwise it's an anonymous third party quotation.
All statements and accusations etc made on the BOI must be attributed to a specific person, not presented as information from an anonymous source.
If you are unwilling, or unable at this time to name the people the information came from, then it shouldn't be included in your post.

I understand what you're saying BUT, you've both made accusations about names, pictures, emails etc and have not posted one piece of evidence. This is happened a lot here and most of the time, it seems to come back as BS. Sorry but I see a lot of talk and no walk. If you're going to call someone out, do it right. Otherwise, it looks like BS. Had this not happened to you and you were the one with the good transaction, I would expect you to be able to see it this way too

Now see this is the first bit of complete information that either You or existential have given.

Doing a search reveals that there is/was a Brian Lee McGuire that lives at 702 Wickwood Drive. James E.(I'm assuming that stands for Earl) Mcguire SR. also lives/lived at the same address. So either Brian is actually posting as his brother James on here or at the very least James has lied about earl being his last name and not his middle name.

This could've all been sorted 13 pages ago if the OP had just given some pertinent information from the get go. ie... full address and full name of the person JamesEarl was supposedly impersonating.

Instead Both You and Existential have acted in a way that made people suspect of Your true intentions and the legitimacy of Your claims. Next time do a little research get all the pertinent facts and then and only then post Your complaints to the BOI. I have not been posted here much but have been reading a lot and people will tear You a new one if You don't have Your ducks all in a row.

Everyone keeps saying fwded emails can be altered. I have offered to meet ANY local doubters to show the ORIGINAL documents as proof without question. If I post them here there will just be more naysaying.
William, the reason the full name has just recently been posted is because it was only recently learned. I was given "Brian Lee" and the OP was given "James Earl" both with the same number and address. We aren't just flaming someone here without reason. Things are coming together and a conclusion is near. I will be sure to keep this thread up to date with facts as they come available.
I'd also like to say that I wasn't accusing anyone of lying, just that if you are, and it comes out, I have no qualms about calling others out as well. We are in a crisis-time as reptile keepers, and even moreso as hot keepers. This is a time to stand together, bond and become strong as a group if we want to continue to enjoy this hobby, not rip each other off and lie for personal gain. Since the original post, I have been taken, as well as Anthony Bell of wildlife unlimited, who posted a notice in the Venomousreptiles.org classifieds and Shane Flaskamp, who posted a detailed account of being ripped off in a trade on his facebook page, and Clinton Syzmanski who works st a local pet store thst i spoke with personally. I have informed all three of this thread and hopefully they will join in with theyre own stories and information soon. Thats 5 ppl covering 3 states...the ducks are all getting in the "internet fraud" line Any more ?'s

This was also posted 2 days ago by James Earl saying that he DID move from the Wickwood Dr. address. I talked to Jared Watts today and he told me he was at the Wickwood address 2 days ago trading snakes with a guy named James. Some of the snakes that were traded to Jared actually belong to Shane Flaskamp from South Dakota. James recieved some Viridis from Shane for a trade of some blacktails. James traded the viridis to Jared Watts the other night and has never sent the blacktails to Shane. I have contacted Shane and asked him to create a Fauna account and post all his info here as he was only aware of kingsnake.com where he first meet Brian McGuire aka James Earl with the same address of Wickwood Dr.

Im sorry I didnt post any hard evidence at first but I just didnt have any as all of our conversation was on the telephone. I never thought this post would go this far as I thought I was the only one with this complaint. Now that others have also came in contact with me complaining of the same problems with this guy, I have done alot of research and tracked down what I believe to be the truth about James Earl as I have been stating. It has been frustrating trying to convince members here that this does warrant a bad guy thread without me having hard evidence and I apologize for that. I believe I have all the right players now and I hope I can get them on here to post as they have emails and text.

Hey Shane, i just want to give you a quick update. The blacktail dropped 11 yesterday and all are great looking. I don't take them out of the cage with mom and dad until they are shed so i don't have sexes yet for you but i will get that to you. I tell yeh i am in baby hell, i have about 40 different rattler baby varity and another 40 agkistrodon on top of that ...... there goes my budget on feeders .

Anyhow i just wanted to let you know. The westerns are doing good mean as hell but good and the prairies are good as well, feisty little things. . BTW did you say the lighter color prairie was the male or female as i have not probed them.

This is what took place between Brian or James and I. I recently did a trade with a guy by the name of Brian Lee McGuire, from Chesapeake Virginia. He contacted me in response to an ad i placed on kingsnake .com for some atrox. He purchased a pair of the atrox and paid for those up front. I asked him if he was interesed in some viridis and he told me about his gravid blacktail and how he could not keep all of the babies. Long story short, we agreed on a trade for a 1.1 pair of viridis for how ever many babies his blacktail dropped. The last email i got from the guy said he was going to ship last sunday 10-2-2011. He has since changed his email, telephone number and who know what else. As far as i am concerned he is a thief.

The last email that i sent to him was on October 6th asking what happened to shipping on sunday. I received a failure notice back.

Also with indacountry and focal X neither giving the exact address on Wickwood where they went to we cannot rule out that JamesEarl didn't live a few houses down from his brother,which is quite plausible.

I live in a small neighborhood that consists of two streets and currently have(including myself) 6 separate households members of my extended family living in it. At one time I had my great grandmother(who was the first to live in this neighborhood) living in one house and she had 3 of her children living within 4 lots of her. 1 next door,one directly behind and one across the street and 3 houses down.

So once again half-assed information on the part of the accuser leads to half-assed assumptions on the part of those reading what they post.

I dont usually post and in over 20 yrs dealing with herps, aza, nonprofits, etc etc Im gonna post. I dont know James personally, but I did show up at the address given and picked up the snakes he said he had available. I Do know many of the others here and would say, DEPOSIT. Diamond reptile, glades, any other MFer in the community would require a deposit. If not, no deal first come first served. I have been to the house James said to go to, and he was always there and made the deal. I have been burned and people not showed up with the animals they were supposed to have and not showed up at all, ya know what lesson learned. As far as all this putting people on blast BS ya know EVERYONE here has pissed off somebody (and if you havent you should) and using this as a venting situation because you feel offended isnt the appropriate place. As if you take a company to the better buisness bureau you better have damn good reason or its gonna end up costing you. Again I went to his house, he was there, we traded some snakes and I havent had any problems. As far as lawyer talk, LMAO, ya better have concrete or your gonna go broke drawing stuff out in litigation in the US. I do know Bryan, and James, and some others on here. All that aside I am not taking any sides, just saying yet again that he called me, said to come by the house (which seemed to look like people were living there for some time) I did, we traded snakes and everything went fine. Just my experience with him.
