Take a look at the pictures you take and Matt takes and compare them to the ones Alberto takes.

Are both of you so much inferior to Alberto like he stated in the other thread?

It just is amusing to me that you are both inferior at capturing the coloration of your leos at about the same degree as eachother in comparison to Alberto's pictures....

I find it amusing that Alberto doesn't feel his customers are qualified to sell his product. Isn't word of mouth the best advertising? And yet Alberto has attacked Matt's 'inferior' pictures. The fact that both you and Matt apologized for being honest and enthusiastic, and now tiptoe around to avoid Alberto's wrath, is hilarious!

I find it amusing that rather than embrace his love of these animals, Matt doesn't want to post 'inferior' pictures and insult Alberto.

As I stated before: I have seen Alberto's animals in person on numerous occassions.
Read the next line very carefully:
Alberto's leos are no better than some of the best you could buy from Tremper directly for less money.


Enjoy your animals, enjoy your hobby. Don't let anyone make you feel inferior, ever.

for one i am not tring to piss anyone off i am very new to the breeders group i only started in february this year buying herps again for i am fresh out of the navy i need all the help i can get i have an extreme love for this hobby and more specific leos i just dont like how every one is battering each other that is all tell my one instance where i have been mean and or said mean things about anyone i understand that albrtos animals are as good as rons (no better no worse in some of your eyes but who cares i chose alberto over ronbecause i have tried many times to contack ron to send me pics of his SPECIFIC animals he has i am not going to drop that kinda money with out seeing at very least pics first i waited to do buissiness with alberto at the white plains show i wanted to see the animals first i am to scard about getting ripped off and i you may be right about rons geckos but the fact of the matter is every time i call alberto he is available (granted he is not at work) but when i try to contact ron he has a 1001 things to do and cant give the little people like myself to much of his valuable time i understand he is a busy person but i am looking at more than just qualitly of animals i am also buying customer service and alberto has always been there for me with any ?'s i may have had and that is what i want as for the whole inferior pictures this is the first set of geckos i have bought that is even worth complaining about how the pics look so and as i already previously mentioned before about how these pics were taken i dont feel the need to state it again and quite frankly i am getting rather irate at the fack you are atacking me in saying that i tip toe around trying not to piss alberto off like he is my boss or something and you know what i am inferior compared to alberto (lets compare albertos years of experiance to my 5 monthes) it is expected i will get better i will make a name for myself and you know what if i can compete with alberto,robin,kelli, any of you it would be an honor and i am not afraid to amit that i am not as experianced as all of you are but i love this no less im sure i am sorry i am rambling but i am getting upset at the fack of what this has escalated to i bevieve the only reason alberto said what he said about matts picture taking skills is because he was saying that his geckos are nothing special compared to mine ,matts are by far better but he also payed more i think this is what pissed alberto off (and the fact of he said alberto lied to him and the whole sales pitch thing) that is why i believe he said what he did

I am not amused by you. I do not think poorly of you. I am amused by the situation.

Experience does not come into play, however that is certainly another amusing subject we can discuss.


As I said in my last post, I want you to enjoy your hobby and not let anyone make you feel inferior. I hope I have not insulted you by stating that!

(lets compare albertos years of experiance to my 5 monthes)

and you know what if i can compete with alberto,robin,kelli, any of you it would be an honor

i have my collection i breed i have fun with it i dont try to compete with anyone.... i have only had leos well this is about the middle of my third year keeping and breeding them. I have had reptiles going on 7 years now.. my other passion is boa constrictors. I think alberto only has a little bit more time with leos than me and well kelli and marcia and ron have been doing this (especially ron) since the begining of time LOL along with quite a few others (the old timers, as i call em) thats where you get your best info and advice. you can find alot of info out there but you have to be able to wade through it to find the more reliable,reputable sources. julie bergman is another good source ummm so many my brain is rattling... MOST of the old timers do not post anymore, i sure wish they would what a wealth of info these guys have and what enthusiasm they could bring to some of the newbies and even some of the other oldies

yup, i guess so. we have been working with boa constrictors the whole seven years... i am very excited about next year... i got some good paitings ready to go (boas take a while to grow up sexually mature between 3-6 years normally depending on the sub species)

i am sorry for the terms i used before i mean more or less to be as successful(sp) and have my name up there i am more into it for the recognition than the money i am not tring to compete either I just want be as good as at this as you all i have great respect for you robin,kelli alberto,steve,ron i just got upset at the way things unfolded at the last post and i didnt want anybody to look down on alberto because of me he has helped me so much and he can make his own self look bad if he wants to i just dont want him or any one for that matter blaming me basically i am not tring to step on any ones toes is all i just want to learn as much as i can and hopefully get to a point where i can make enough money to be able to buy what ever animals i want because as we all do we take great pride in our collections and in what we produce from them

no biggie... just pay attention and listen to the right people and you have to figure out who those people will be... their is alot of people out their with different views and ideas you just keep working with what you like listen and learn and try to wade past the BS and all shall be good... i love my geckos but they make me nothing my main objective other than the quality and health of my animals is that maybe one day they will pay for themselves........ crickets,mealies and supers arent so bad compared to our rodent and rabbit bill..................... we just picked up 30-1lb bunnies the other day and those might last maybe two months.... to this point we have put ALOT of money into our entired collection... and chances are we will never get it back but we do what we like and if by chance we can make it pay for itself GREAT and if we make a bit of money thats cool too.... either way we still will have and keep our reptiles
honestly, i am rather a nobody we are a small scale privte breeder / hobbiest ... however one thing we keep to is the health and quality of our animals and customer service those are first and foremost... along our journey we have met many great and influential people kelli and steven, marcia, kevin and charlotte barnett and gus rentfro..... we have the utmost respect for these people and hold them in the highest regards.... and in the time we have known them we have been able to listen to their advice and words of wisdom in helping to guide us, for this their is nothing we could ever do to repay them... and give them a great thanks ... spyder thhis is what you want to look for in a "mentor"... resepect,honesty and vast knowledge

Hi Guys
I see I am still causing trouble after what I said about that PIC. Steven, I explained that I was sorry about that and I was out of line and it was said in a moment of anger. You do not live very far from me and if you would like to come and see my geckos in person I would be glad to have you here, I have nothing to hide. I do not know what I did to Robin that she was or still is angry at me. I can say that if I am only compared to Ron it is an honor for me. I did buy a lot of geckos from him and still do. I just came back from Texas after a visit with him and bought more geckos. I just like to be friendly with every one and I do not think I have the best geckos out there or I would not be buying more all the time. I do not make millions of $ in this or I would not be a waiter in Manhattan. I do hope I will be able, one day, to make enough money to retire from waiting tables and this is why I am spending a lot of money in knob tails. Anymore info about me just ask.
Here is a PIC of Ruby, this PIC was taken on white background outside, no flash and no Photoshop. I still think the gecko looks nicer in person and I do like the more natural look of the cork bark for my PICS and I will not change that.
