In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I got a new dog and he needs a name bad. The lady who found him named him Rusty, so he has been Rusty for 2 weeks but I want another name.
His pic is in the dog forum, please look and tell me what you think.
Of course I reserve final right, no matter how many people vote 'Fuzzbutt' or similar, it isn't going to happen.
Be imaginative, and help the new dog on the block at the same time!!!

since its a second dog what about sidekick?alittle corny but batman had one why not your other dog ..actually i named one of my dogs that but had to change it,he was getting confused when i would call him he thought i was saying outside or something anyways good luck with the new name

Had to choose Elroy....................well I would choose anyhing except "Ginger"
Yeah, other people name thier dogs and horses "Ginger" even a cat or two.
My Mom, named a human "Ginger"
Really I love the "oh we had a dog named Ginger" comments. LOL

What a perfect name for yellin' out in the back yard in my conservative Texas suburban neighborhood where most of us on my street have known each other for 20 years........

lol

Thank you all for your terrific ideas and participation!!!
All of the suggested names (well perhaps excepting 'meatwad', I laughed out loud when I read that one) were close contenders.
We have an Elroy, and the 2 Blues Brothers, Jake and Elroy are at this very moment playing outdoors with the sidekick and Alpha dog Muffin the Shih Tzu, it is raining and they will have that stinky 'wet dog' odor when I bring them in.
On another note, I was at the feed store earlier and they had these wonderful very large heavyweight black rubber feed bowls probably made for horses or the like, much better than the wimpy pet store bowls; I bought one each for the dogs, now they won't slosh their dinner.
Feed stores are great.
Y'all are great, too, thank you!

Don't you just LOVE that?!? That's one thing I'll never understand... even a completely clean dog smells like that when they get wet.

I just changed his name to Leroy because he looks more like a Leroy than an Elroy, poor dog he will be so confused....
