In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been waiting with great anticipation for this litter and the long wait is finally over. I paired two gorgeous rich reds together in the hopes of getting a beautiful litter of youngsters and I couldn't be more pleased with the results :).

The male is approximately 4ft and the female right around 5 1/2ft. Both are young adults and this was their first year breeding.
The litter is actually a bit on the small size (11 healthy live youngsters and 1 slug) but I'm quite pleased. Gestation period was quite long lasting a total of 202 days after her post ovulation shed.
All of the youngsters have already shed and appear to have settled in nicely. First feeding attempts won't be for two weeks but I'm optimistic it will be relatively non eventful.

Can't really tell the size of the female or count babies from the pics, looked like more in the pile, lol. There was a pair for sale several months ago that had bred twice, a dozen babies each time. I'm thinking it must be much older (and larger) females that produce large litters. I have 2 pairs of really red ones almost 2 years old now, will be quite a bit longer wait to see their offspring.
Would be a good time to stock up on anoles, not all of them will take pinkies to start.

I've used scenting in the past with excellent results. Take a few frozen feeder lizards, a cup of water and blend in the blender until everything is liquified. Pour the mixture in an ice cube tray and place in the freezer. When thawing the pinks all you need to do is put the feeders in a ziplock bag, add an ice cube, and place in a warm bowl of water. As they thaw the lizard scented ice cube infuses the prey item and "marinades" them. Hasn't failed yet and a whole lot easier than trying to keep a steady supply of feeder lizards.

That's a really good idea. Thanks.. I'm looking into breeding some yellow tail cribos in the future and there the same way.

I will try that, might be useful for switching my young ones from f/t quail and rat pinks to fuzzy mice as well. The females will eat live fuzzy mice, but the males are prone to ignore them. One pair was weaned onto rat pinks, while the other pair were accustomed to quail when I got them.

Todd,
You can do the same thing with quail and rat pinks. Just blend them up into a super fine purée and put the mixture in the ice cube trays. Follow the same instructions for thawing out your mice fuzzies. I would be hesitant to take a step back by trying lizards and would use whatever they are eating as the basis for your ice cubes.
Over the years I've used lizards, frogs, fish, chicks, mice, and rats to make these ice cubes and it works like a charm. Has worked for small colubrids, several species of Boiga, Candoia, and various tree boas.
