    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Since I am facing some legal expenses from the arbitration (already spent!) and now the lawsuit from Jeff Barringer, I have decided to institute a special icon as a way of publicly thanking those people who are donating to help me with the financial burdens I am incurring.

It is not mandatory, of course, but is appreciated more than you will probably ever know.

Well it has been a while since I last made a donation to your site, I think it was back in August. I have made a total of 3 donatiuons to you and one to the 'detective fund' way back when. I guess three out of four being good ones is not bad - so I will make another, and anyhow I want that nice silver medallion on my posts too. How do I go about doing this, I think it was Paypal but, I kind of forgot. Don't you have a special link somewhere? ;)
 
There is a donation link down in the lower right hand corner of every page here. I didn't think it was necessary to make up a different one for this special occasion.

BTW, that spiffy donation icon was done by Troy Dozier. I think he did a bang up job of it and I am well pleased with his work. Matter of fact, I have asked him to do some other graphics work for me as well.


Also btw, I have the donations icon set up to expire one year from the date of the last donation. The bills roll in every month for the servers I am using, so I need to try to keep the donations coming in regularly to help pay the bills. The banner ads to help tremendously, so if you want to help that way, it would definitely be appreciated.

I think I am going to put the "donator" icon in for all of the members who are also advertisers on this site. After all, it is actually their donations that are a constant source of help with this site, so I think that would only be fair.

Robin, no I don't think that is necessary. Actions, although more subtle, speak louder than words or graphics.
 
Since it has been known to many people from the start, that the purpose of my offering paid banner ads for this site was for those people to help contribute to the maintenance and expenses I incur to keep it running, I think it is only fair that I automatically give all advertisers that contributor icon as recognition of their donations. However, it is NOT mandatory that someone have this icon, and as such I am asking that anyone who does NOT want to have this icon associated with them to please let me know and I will remove it. Although I think public recognition of their support for this site is justly warranted, I am not about to force this down anyone's throat. This is STRICTLY optional.

icons are for the advertisers only? or for the domnations too? if its for donations hook me up briother rich!!!! i cant remember the exact date but it was a week or so ago i sent the donation
