In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ive recently got 2 babys they'll be 2 weeks old now. One is ok and eating and other dosent look well. She is lying flat wont move when picked up,and wont open her eyes, can any1 suggest what i can do? Im going to give her a bit of glucose.Any help greatly appreciated.

I am still quite new to having bearded dragons. I am sure someone else can give you more and better help. I hope I can help a little. I would check and see if you temps in your enclosure is OK. Not having the right temperature in your enclosure can make them sluggish. Find a vet in your area that can check the little one out to make sure there is no parasites or anything else wrong. I would do this as soon as possible. Make sure you offer greens and crickets and dust the crickets so they are getting calcium also. Phoenix worms might entice her to eat. Hope she gets better.

What is your dragon's name or your call name?
How old is he?
How long have you had him?
Did he come from a breeder or pet store?
Have you gotten a vet check and fecal done?
How long is he (snout to tail)?
What size cage is he in?
What substrate is he on?
Is he housed alone?
Is he active, alert, eyes bright?
Is he pooping?
What is his basking temperature?
What is it being measured with (digital, stick-on, etc)?
Are you using any form of electronic heating device other than overhead lighting?
What brand, model, and size is his UVB light?
How old is the UVB light?
How close to him is the UVB light?
How long are the lights on daily (day/night cycle)?
Are the lights on a timer?
What greens are you offering?
What veggies are you offering?
Are you misting? How often?
Is the dragon getting baths? How often?
What insects are the dragons eating?
What size?
How often and how many?
What are the insects being fed?
What calcium supplement is being used?
How often?
What vitamin supplement is being used?
How often?
What country (and/or state) are you in?
Is there any additional information that might be of use?

Unfortunately, stuff like this happens when you buy too-young dragons. They are too delicate to move before 6-8".

I have received 1 week old babies before and encountered no problems at all. Not something like I to do but I have been surprised by a few packages here and there. If your going to ship young dragons, it either during the first week before they establish themselves in a pattern or wait 4-6 weeks. But that's a whole other topic......

Sadly, if your dragons not eating, pooping or even remotely active at 2 weeks of age, your more than likely going to loose him. It's very hard to save something so young and fragile. A trip to vet might help but the reality of the situation would be, your more than likely wasting your money.

shes called diamond, shes 2 weeks old,I got her last thursday,i got 2 of them, they came from a breeder. He is about size of a small finger, very tiny.Shes in a 4ft by 2ft vivarium,i use playsand as substrate. He's housed with another baby from same clutch of eggs. She is pooping but not active or alert adn her eyes are closed most of the time,I use a spot light fitting with 40 watt heat bulb and a uv lighting that is half way down the tank. There eating baby cricks, one eats meal worm,i tried dried food, well moistened. I offer cababge parsley water cress lettuce corgette carrots, dandilion leaves. The uv light is brand new,its half way down tank. Its a repti glo8.0 20 watts. size 50 cm/24. The lights are on for 12 hours daily and are on a timer.Ive been using ground cuttle fish for calcium, not got vitamins yet. I live in england,a town called lancashire. I mist them every other day, there was a pool in tank but i moved it due to cricks hiding. Shes just laid down all the time, not eating or lifting her head up,the other one seems to be doing fine,im so worried about her.I tried giving her a bit of glucose.WE put about 6 or 8 baby cricks in twice daily. Hope this helps many thanx

Sara certainly has all the questions there. I am curious why Kathy's country/state would be necessary.

Have you tried feeding them separately? What is the temperature in their cage during the day and at night? I have had lizards that would not eat around others, but when alone they would go crazy for food. Have you actually seen her eat?

Ive tried hand feeding, but shes not interested. I have seen her eat cricks and greens but not for a day or 2,im not asure what temp is ill buy a thermometer tommorow to check this out. I have 2 babys the other one seems to be doing fine. Thankyou so much,i will try it feeding seperate if she comes round.

#1 you need to get yourself a thermometer as soon as you can. Getting the temps where they need to be is a top priority.

Get her some chicken or turkey baby food. It's high in protein, liquefied and easy to digest. Be sure to use a syringe that you can keep measurements with. You'll want to know how much he is eating and gradually increase the amounts over time. Once she has a few days feedings in her mix a little bit of calcium powder and some pedialite in with the baby food. Continue with that feeding for a few more days. By then her system should have had a good boost from the protein. Her appetite should have improved and her activity should have picked up. At that time you can start introducing small crix and finely chopped greens.

Hi Kathy,
I got 2 one week old babies myself last Friday. I have learned so much from the people on here. One thing I was warned against...don't put them on sand at such a young age, they can ingest it..newspaper or paper towels are best. They are so tiny and easy to stress out when they are that young. I wish you luck and prayers for your little one. With mine being so young I'm constantly worried about them also. Keep us posted on how things are going. One things for sure...you got a group of very knowledgeable and helpful people on here.

Good Luck
Alexa

Do give her baby food from a jar or can,or the dried food you add water to? Thankyou very much for all your help,i will try this

:) Hi everyone,my baby beardie seems to be coming round, she didnt eat for 3 days, only a tiny bit of baby food. She still looked really ill this morning, then when i put cricks in,she came to life and ate 1 crick and 2 maggot cricks. She seems a lot more alert,so hopefully she will be ok,ill let you know how she gets on. Thankyou everyone for all you replies,it means a lot to us.

Oh I am so gland she's doing better. I hope she has a speedy recovery. Good luck and keep us informed.
