    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We have a spot on the water in the PNW.
We see eagles everyday.
They are mainly bald eagles but every now and then we see golden eagles.
They like to hang out there on some of our trees overlooking the water.
Them golden eagles are huge and absolutely amazing.
Every bit of a good 30% larger than the baldies.

So I have a question.
Can I build a platform on top of one of my trees on our bluff with any success of having a nesting area?
It woul be really cool to watch a nesting pair out of our kitchen window.

Building a platform to attract bald eagles probably wouldn't work. In fact, you're more likely to attract osprey. Bald eagles are highly selective about the tree they use and have to be. They use and add onto the same nest year after year. Old nests can weigh as much as a car (2000+lbs). Eagle nests have caused mature trees to snap before. I would just let the eagles decide to nest where they choose.

That's really cool Andrew! I don't know anything about the platform idea but if it works, that would be a really neat to see.
