    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wanted Ecuadorian Snapper Turtle

A buddy of mine were looking for them a while back and had zero luck. It's always like they do not exist, its really weird. I have kept my eyes out for him over the last 3 years and have never seen any offered(both mexican and ecuadorian) so I am guess is they are not bred at all here in the states and are pretty close to being extinct in the wild.

Good luck on your search, I would love it if someone here in the states got some together and ended up breeding them.

Thanks for the reply MAC,

I feel the same way from my research as I usually can find Anything on my own internet searches as I am persistent. They also should be fairly common, at least in there natural area's which import many other things like Ecuadorian Hermit Crabs and well, Mexico -- they would import anything if aloud for a few bucks? At least this is my impression? I really want to know the story. They must be fairly easy to breed in captivity (educated guess as in other available snappers) as well with little differences between them, the common and Florida. With that said, the differences are great enough in my opinion to want to have the different species if indeed into snappers "like that"
Hey, I read the Mexican snapper is the darkest and most fierce of all when it comes to atittude. Also, how can you not love the Ecuadorian's Snappers shell? It almost looks leucistic but that is its regular color! If anybody knows anymore INFO on these guys so I can put this to rest in my head, please supply it for me and Mac! I mean, again, are they illegal, protected, not plentiful enough or just no interest? Mac is right, it is as if they do not exist not only to find online in the states but to even bring in or available for just reading info let alone specimens for sale. One would think if one could get there hands on a breeder pair of each (especially the Ecuadorian) one could make ALLOT of money due to there lack of numbers available (zero, ha) as well as what is probable, extremely easy to breed with the right space?

ANYBODY, Scientist have the answers to these questions? This is a new wonder of the world!

I am also surprised that not allot of others even inquire about them. I am thinking that is because allot of folks do not even know of there existence as when I first started, I admit to only knowing of the Florida, the common and the GREAT Allie Snapper.

SOMEBODY HELP,
Steve & AMY

BTW: This is a great site!

BTW/BTW: Mac, I think I seen one thing on Youtube, just one time with someone showing off there Ecuadorian Snapper or it may have been a Mexican. It was for sure one or the other. As for that, that was it and was a long time ago. I am going to look on youtube again for it and if found, see where the guy/gal resides and question them to death, haha. Hopefully they are still around on the tube!
