In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi Jeff,

I have a few questions for you:

1.) Just how rubbery do they feel? Crested eggs should feel like chicken eggs, only SLIGHTLY softer.

2.) What temperature have they been incubated at?

3.) How is the moisture in the incubator?

Crested eggs darken and swell before they are about to hatch. You also might see some "sweating" in the days before. Really the only thing that you can do is to wait. Pipping the egg on your own is extremely dangerous for the baby and is very hard to do when you're nervous and/or worried about the welfare of the baby inside. Keep us posted! I hope it hatches for you.

i looked this morning and the other one was shrinking alittle bit and they were sweating alittle bit....

Crestedlady
they arnt super rubbery but soft..

i dont know the temp they are at room temp what ever it may be

it is moist

i called my buddie and he said they are most likley going to hatch so i am soo excited :) but i just go to sit and wait..

As long as they didn't shrink from lack of moisture and you know that they are fertile, you have a good chance of them hatching. (Especially since they're sweating) If anything, there's nothing you can do if they don't hatch, so it's no use worrying. Sit back, relax, and you just may have some crestie babies in the future. Keep us posted! :)

they both died ...i opened them and one waws a red...and the other one would have been an AWSOME oreange harly partial pin...man i am soo bummed i feel like a failar....i am defenetly going to keep working on trying to sucessefully hatch cresties ....thanks for the help maybe next time.:)

It's hard, but sometimes you're going to lose a few...even if you do everything right. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll have better luck in the future. One of the good things is that cresteds are very prolific...you're bound to get a zillion more chances. Let us know how your future clutches do. I'm so sorry for your loss.

sorry to hear...good luck in the future...you'll have some babies eventually

Don't get all bummed out...stuff like that happens, and the same thing happened to me with a Nephrurus Amyae egg, I didn't wait though...I immediately cut it open a little bit...

What happened was the egg went in just like yours, and the baby couldn't cut through the egg. That was it. I luckily saved her/him though, I got a razor blade and LIGHTLY cut down the egg. I was lucky to not cut the baby, and I was even more lucky to cut right where the head of the baby was...after I cut and was done, the baby moved in the egg which was in my hands, felt weird.

I'll post a pic of the baby later tonight if I remember when I get home, I am pretty sure I post it on here before or definently on geckoworld.net

Good luck to you with the cresties!

NICE Ameye .how mcuh for a pair..??..have any levis levis???yah these next eggs are doing good growing fast so i hope they hatch so i can be a offical bredder :)thanks for all the help

I am not selling them personally...I am holding back ALL my babies.

I saw some babies on kingsnake.com for $700, sold out probably already. And females were going for $2000 each...

They are going up in prices from what I have seen...people are figuring out they aren't like others and give you 7+ clutches a year...I have gotten 3 clutches max so far. My first year with breeding them, or any gecko for that matter.

Thanks for the compliment ;-)

And if you wanna see them all, check this out http://www.geckoworld.net/forum/album_cat.php?cat_id=20

ahhh....smart thing to do....sell them as adults (females males)or keep them and breed them...i like the small knobs levis levis ....i saw my uncle a couple of weeks ago and he had a pair of aspers....they were cool....nice animals though.and best of luck with them
