    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I received my new gecko from Candice at Emerald City Cresties today and what a beautiful gecko it is! Dealing with her is a pleasure and I can tell she is very passionate about her geckos. She keeps in contact so you are always updated during purchase and shipping process. Packing is done right and she ships when weather is ideal for receiving. Fantastic experience with Emerald City Cresties!

Well, I recently received the cutest little baby tiger crested gecko from Candice Marie over at Emerald City Cresties! Her name is Killer Tofu! haha. We both are big Doug fans. I had a wonderful experience working with Candice and the baby is even more beautiful in person. Looks so healthy and her color is a vibrant orange. In all a fantastic transaction! Excellent communication and a wonderful job with packing and even added a sweet note for me. Thank you so much Candice!!!! *hugs* I highly recommend her if you are looking for that special Crested. I will definitely be buying more cresteds from her in the near future. :)

I decided to purchase two crested geckos from Candice at Emerald City Cresties because looking at her web sites I noticed her amazing attention to detail. She documents everything. Hatch date, Birth weight, parents, days incubated and provides all of her customers with this information. She is very sweet and also goes above and beyond for her customers. She wants what is best for her animals and it shows. The two babies I purchased are exactly what I expected. Her photos are very accurate but of course as with all amazing geckos they are even better in person. I had a great experience working with her and I recommend her to anyone who is looking to purchase a crested gecko. Thank you Candice I look forward to working with you in the future.

I received a really nice Tricolor pinner from Candice at Emerald City Cresties this morning, She is beautiful, healthy and well fed, it was a great transaction, always got back to my messages right away and helped me out by doing payment plans so i could get such gecko, the gecko was packed amazingly and securely, thanks Candice for the great service!

I recently received a beautiful baby chahoua from the lovely Candice over at Emerald City Cresties. This woman goes over and beyond for her customers and geckos. She has held my chewie over the winter until my weather was suitable for shipping and let me pay through a payment plan. She also updated me with pictures, weight info and food she was feeding my chewie. I'm so happy with my new kiddo! Thank you Candice for a beautiful healthy chahoua and the wonderful flawless transaction. :) :) :) *Picture was taken by Candice*

I want to thank Candice at Emerald City Cresties for two of the most beautiful crested geckos. I got the pair from her at the Portland Expo and can not be more pleased. They are healthy and beautiful. Doing business with Candice was a breeze. Her care of her geckos is unsurpassed and it shows in the ones I purchased from her. I know I will work with her again someday. Highly recommend her.

I recently purchased three crested gecko's from Emerald City Cresties , and I couldn't be happier!!! two males and a really nice female, I honestly couldn't be more pleased with how easy the transaction went!! she actually drove an hour out of her way to meet me for coffee and she is the sweetest!!! all the beauties are as healthy as can be. she is very knowledgeable and will still message me to see how there all doing and always answers any and all questions I have. if your looking for great gecko's and the most pleasant gecko purchasing id 100% recommend her any day!!
 
I've been to Candice's facility and her love for these geckos is very apparent. Great roomy enclosures, everyone's clean, and well fed. She has spoiled happy geckos and keeps track of each gecko's lineage. Two thumbs up!
