    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Euthanizing feeders via shock, first time I've heard of this....

oh by the way ive seen real shock boxs in action for feeders at a local pet shop and it did not look humane to me, but neither do most of the other ways mentioned.

I'm cheap though, no way would I spend $10 on a rat to feed it to my Burm. It has weird sort of curly hair.....
No way would I spend $10 on a rat period! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Me either but my g/f wanted him, she's missed her previous rat since he died a few years ago. I'll have to get a pic of him, he's kind of weird looking. I don't buy many rats single and alive, mine are usually dead and bagged.

I let my son have a couple of pet rats for awhile.....I dunno, maybe they were too old when he got them, because the older they got, the nastier they got. Man, can those suckers BITE. He handled them a lot, but they never got friendlier.

We ended up giving them away......they were still too close to him to let anyone eat them. After all, they DID have names.....Stinky and Stanky. :rofl:

I have a recalcitrant ball python who refuses to eat anything except live gerbils. Usually she will eat two and if she refuses the second one then I give it to one of the "garbage disposals". Well one time my daughter intervened and "saved" the gerbil and really wanted to keep it as a pet. So she did. Mind you, she then decided that Shadow (the name of her new pet) needed a friend. So now we also have Sam. But they don't get along so they need to be housed separately.

The local pet shop sells me live gerbils for $2 apiece to use as feeders but they charge $4 for "pet" gerbils. So I had to go in and tell them I needed three gerbils the next week, two feeders and a pet. LOL. And I also paid the extra $2 for the first one we kept. :bandhead0 :bandhead0

Ah, the the things we do for love...

LMAO....now THAT is honesty Jim.....even paying the extra for Shadow. Too cool. :)
