    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i have a first time breeder female crested.she was breed on the 25 of march and still hasnt droped the eggs she has been around the nest box for the past week but still no eggs .is there any thing i can do that might help her or motivate her to lay the eggs?thanks jeff

I wouldn't worry...is she digging? they usually lay their eggs 1-3 days after they start digging...can you feel the eggs or see them in her belly?

i can feel the eggs and she was digging all night but still no eggs and she has been digging all week .

is she eating? is the nest box a bit moist? I would wait a bit more...I had a female that was possibly eggbound (hindsight doesn't help) and she laid 1 egg and a week later could barely move and wouldn't eat or drink...had her under uv when I took her out b/c something was wrong...she died 2 days after things seemed wrong...at the time, unfortunately, I didn't consider that she might have another egg in her and at this point still don't know the cause but eggbound was a possibility...all I can do is hopefully learn from things I overlooked...
I wouldn't worry now but of course if she changes drastically, I would say not to wait and take her to a vet immediately

she layed last night but it is a dud nothing in it just a little egg about half the size of my other 2 eggs.only one egg so it is all good no more eggs in her eather.thanks

well I'm glad she's alright...though small ones might be ok...
check out the one in the bottom middle...it's tiny too...I'm hoping it hatches and all is fine...first time mom, 3rd egg from my 2nd colony...can't wait to see them when they hatch...my 1st colony's babies are predictable lol

p.s. I've had a small one hatch before, not as small as that one though. It's fine, just had a little bit shorter of a tail compared to its pair.

it isnt even round it is more like a flat skinny egg and there aint notheing in it so i know it is a dud.
