    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Hey just looking for info on these guys. Please Id like to hear the good and bad.

Thanks.

Jim

I was wondering this too.
They have the most beautiful beardies. I've never seen colors that bright anywhere else.

Fire and ice

I was recently in touch with Terri as well and I was interested in a high yellow bearded dragon, I asked if I could see a photo of the baby and she kept dodging the issue. In short, she would not send me a photo of the actual animal that I would be spending $350-$500 on so I moved on. Unfortunately I moved on to A-1 reptiles and purchased a lemon ice female and she came in with swollen eyelids and inflamed nails and no appetite not to mention the tail nip that was not advertised. I could not bring myself to send an animal back to these people and they would not refund even $50 of my cost to take her to the vet so I am out a lot of money. I am taking her to the vet later today though, so don't worry. I wish I had known about this site before doing any business over the net.

Fire and Ice should be avoided at all costs. I purchased a 500 dragon from here with the promise of it being a pure citrus dragon with certification proving it with a pedigree. Well, he came in to me in good shape, but quickly went down in health, He had lost movement of his limbs and was not able to walk on his feet. I took him to a vet had calcium injections, X-rays done to check for MBD and the bones were solid and the muscle around it was not fibrous neither.

He was a very special needs animal and I was able to keep him alive for 2 1/2 yrs with lots of vet visits $$$$.

By the way, after many email, phone calls and such, I still to this date have never received my pedigree that she charges 100 dollars for.

Come to find out from my friend at Caliente dragons, he too purchased from Terri and had similar results, he was informed that Terri is known to sedate her dragons for shipping. This is my thoughts that she over dosed my dragons which in turn gave him nerve damage to him and hindered his ability to walk correctly.

So, my personal experience would be to tell you to AVOID AVOID AVOID any dealings with them.

JFYI: :
By the way this is/was not my first dragon and it was not my husbandry, I have 23 dragons all in great health.

I, personally, have not done business with Terri before... but have close friends who have. The purchased a $500 male citrus that was the MEANEST dragon I have ever seen... and it was not any prettier than a normal.

The beautiful male citrus on their ads is not beautiful at all in person, so my friend says. I have no reason to believe otherwise. With the right camera, lighting, background, and effects you can make the ugliest dragon look gorgeous!

I contacted Terri a few years ago about getting some dragons, but she would NOT send any kind of photos. She says it takes too long to photograph each and every dragon... Bunch of crap! I didn't buy at all and very glad I didn't!!

Cage

Here you go, hit up my bro that buys direct and sells cheaper than most stores of Critter condo's. Contact them Thur there web site and tell him Ed from the Farm sent you. He will understand who I am.

Hope this helps you out, I did not pay attention to the date on this post.
But my opinion, don't support F&I with any business. They need to put out of business in my opinion.

Ed from Ca, that never received my papers for my dragon that was not 100% healthy from being given Tranquilizer over dose!!!!

your welcome, He was going to have Eric make me a 8x3x2 custom cage for 380.00 I believe. But I had to put it off since it was before Xmas. He can get them in about 5 different colors too.

I'm sad to see how bad they've been. My one dragon was from them and he's still doing well at around 6-7 years old. I've never been able to get him to eat many veggies though. I do think I overpaid for the quality dragon I got, but I do love him. He has a great personality. I admit that I didn't research here before I bought him. Even though he's great, I wouldn't buy from them again. I've seen breeders with nicer looking dragons for much cheaper with lots of positive feedback.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

I have purchased 3 dragons from Terri. I have one that turned like "all_american) said his did. I talked with terri and she tried to make out it was everything I was doing was what was wrong with Mulan. He can not walk on his front feet. He looks like someone that has cebral polsy. I have carried him to the vet and He told me that some people breed for color will inbreed to get the color they are wanting. When you inbreed the offspring is weak and has many problems. The vet told me that he may not every get any better. Mulan has coccida and atadenovirus. My vet siad that Mulan has a neurolgical issue because of the way he uses his legs. His back legs were rasied up off the table with him laying on his stomach. the vet would turn him over to see what Mulan would do and he could not even turn himself over. I have one dragon from A1 Reptiles and she has grown so fast and seems to be in the best of health. Mulan could cause me to loose the other 3. Alae Ru is the one I got from A1 Reptiles and she is at 270 grams and only 5 months old. Mulan weighs 88 grams and he is 4 months old. Inbreeding will cause them to not grow as fast either. Alae Ru was hatch 5-8-2013, Mulan hatch 6-6-2013

Jim look somewhere else. Her dragons do NOT look that bright. She lied to me regarding the sex, I did get a pedigree. My dragon has a GREAT diet, good temps, EVERYTHING is right but she is always saying STRESS. He is brown with dark nails. Her website says clear nails. Well Fairytale Dragons I believe have good stuff. Good luck on finding one.

Fire And Ice Experience :-(

Hi, new to this forum and looking for the help of the bearded dragon community to help me understand the negative experience I've had with the breeder Fire And Ice out of Pennsylvania.
After receiving a adult male and a juvenile I purchased, Emails back and forth, The owner cancelled a purchase I had made for a "collectors quality Male out of a Fire Red breeding. Purchase was paid in full. Price of Dragon was $500 and shipping was $65
Anyway I was told via email that my $565.00 was refunded back to my Visa Card yet today I called my bank and they said there was no deposit for $565.00 put back into either of my accounts I've used to purchase dragons from them.
I think I will give it another day or two then contact my attorney. This has been a complete nightmare instead of a wonderful experience!
In my opinion this is not a reputable breeder.
My last purchase is a horror story in itself. Was charged $100 for shipping, dragons showed up freezing cold, everything inside box was cold including newspaper, corn flake cereal box adult male was in, small plastic container juvenile was in. 2 small kit kat size white with red stripe heat packs crammed in two corners of a pretty big box. When I opened cereal box the big guy had eyes closed, beard jet black and felt like a orange that had been outside for 12 hrs in temps ranging from 20's for high and 18 was the low the night they were shipped out last Tuesday here in PA.
Then they wanted me to ship them back when they haven't eaten, big guy sounded like he had a stuffed up nose, both were dehydrated. I was told not to take them to the vet, that it would make things worse yet sending them back thru UPS wouldn't be a lot more Stress? (This is what triggered the emails back and forth). Which there are so many contradicting statements and insults towards me as knowing how to care for bearded dragons. I have 1 normal 3yr old female that I've had since she was a juvenile and she is a big happy girl. And two happy uromastyx's. I just wanted something Pretty and unique, that I didn't see in pet stores.
Hopefully some insight from you all can help me understand if this is normal practice when shipping or paying for a dragon that hasn't hatched yet is standard practice? How many collectors quality dragons come out of a clutch and can you tell at a young age that they are a collectors to fulfill the $500 price tag for such quality?
And shouldn't you be able too choose or at least see photos of what your buying? I'm sorry but, I work hard for my $ and want to see what I'm getting. Not play the lottery!
I so wanted this to be a happy exciting experience and it has been nothing but, that. The dragons to me are beautiful. I just hope tomorrows vet visit helps get them on track.

I have some questions.
You purchased a dragon which arrived in a cereal box and which you deemed unacceptable. Was this the same breeder?
As far as the Visa refund, have you spoken to Visa yet?
Finally, it seems as if you have a number of emails, could you please post them?
If indeed it was the same breeder, why would you go through a 'horror story' and then order another dragon?

Specify purchase another dragon. I haven't purchased another dragon from her nor will I. I have a normal I got from a pet store 3yrs ago. I wanted something Different, unique, pretty. So in December bought a juvenile and put a deposit on a clutch, at that time they were due to hatch in Feb last month. So those were bought at same time. At that time I was uneducated in colors, prices, how they are priced, different qualities you could purchase. I've since have been doing a lot of research to be better educated before buying. I know it's my fault not being educated but, I am a honest very trusting type person and trusted they were being honest business people.
I do have All the emails between them and myself, which there are many! What exactly do you want me too post? A particular topic?
If I can do by phone it's easier for me as I do everything from IPhone.
No I have not called Visa Yet, never had a situation like this. Thank you fore the advice, I will do that. I'm new to threads blogging whatever this is called so bare with me.
