    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Took me about two days, and all the wood used was scrap wood so I didn't have to spend a penny on wood.

I'm very happy with how it turned out, considering that I've never done this before, and didn't have any plans to work off of.

I also learned a TON about building cages just by going through the process, and figuring out what things work and what things don't work.

Eventually, I want to replace the back panel with a single piece of plywood, and then add larger vents to the side, but otherwise, I really like the way it turned out =]
 
If you ever decide to try, just let me know a did gladly offer you some advice on the little things that I learned here and there while building it =]
 
No, it was built for bearded dragons, so I didn't treat the wood for water resistance. I just laid tile down on the floor of each section and a few inches up the sides, using a silicone product, so that none of their excretions would seep into the flooring, and left the walls and ceiling as they were, just sanding them down.

If I were going to build a cage thats water resistant, I'd use melamine. And I'm currently researching the validity of using hardboard in high humidity caging in another thread on here.
