I just got my first bearded. Hes just a normal I think, but very pretty. Got him at a local reptile show. When I brought him home he looked very grey. I read that it was due to stress and lack of heat. So right now I've got a 100watt clamp lamp above the tank, a 10watt UVB until I get to the store to pick up a new one for him. He has a shallow water dish, and a rock to bask on. Paper towels for substrate. I have had lots of reptile experience but this is my first one I've ever had that basks, so I'm not sure what is and isn't ok. Hes sitting on top with his back toes up and his mouth open. What I'm used to with pythons and boas is an open mouth is bad (usually a sign of RI). I obviously don't assume the same of a bearded dragon, but figured posting here for a first time keepers advice would be worth it. Thanks.
