In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I finally figured out a logo I think I can live with and hope you'll give me any feedback good or bad.

Well, here goes...

Thanks!

now, if you could just get her to turn her head to the left a little it'd be perfect

Thanks all of you! I can do things like this for everyone BUT myself! I hated everything I tried. If you saw the rough drafts you'd laugh yourself silly!

I used to run a marketing business out of my home. I still have all the toys, so if you have an idea you want to throw out there, Matt (or anyone else), just let me know. I usually get creative around 3am or so. Nice and quiet, tons of coffee!:)

Luna doesn't hold still very often, so getting her to turn her head would require an act of congress-LOL! That pic was supposed to be a pic for that measuring program that extrapolates their measurements from a photo, but she kept curling around so I gave up!

Final Draft...

I hope!

I am my own worse critic when it comes to my work, but I just didn't like how that looked!

I beveled and embossed the business name to make it stand out more.

I think I'm done...finally!

I think it looks real nice! The only thing I would change, assuming it was not too difficult, is to have her head coming back to the left through the circle created by the L in Lakeside. Regardless, it looks real nice!

Griz

Don't you mean move the Lakeside to the right?

Somehow I don't think the snake is going to want to pose for the perfect picture.

I don't mean to discourage you...But that technically is not a logo...

A true logo is made out of text and/or basic art. No actual photographs. Look through a magazine and you will see many examples of a logo (attached is my logo - which itself is pretty close to going to detailed to be a logo). The logo needs to be able to be reproduced at as small as .5" x .5"...Which is why basic line art is used...

A banner...Would make a nice business card...

Actually, if you were to pull just the text out (name of the business), it could be reworked a bit to make a pretty sweet logo...I like the font...

My logo can actually be pulled apart (which is something that any good logo should do)...I can use just the "TME"; I can use just the corn image; and I can use just use the "TME" and corn image without the "Triple Moons Exotic."

Probably not a "logo" per se, but...

I can use all items separately if needed for other things as all the items are layered in Photoshop and able to be exported into any other graphics program I have (and I have many)--which is mega cool!

I can change and/or remove/add things as needed depending on what I want to do. I working on a table banner for shows and already have it cropped and mounted for business cards. I am also setting up individual graphics for my website. I am not looking forward to making one, for some reason the thought makes my head hurt!

I thought it would make an awesome T-shirt! (Yeah, haven't got any "product" to sell yet, but I've got T-shirt ideas--go figure!):raspberry

Photoshop actually defaulted to that font, which I have never used before, so it must have been karma! It is called "VivaldiD".

I hope I didn't offend you. I know how people don't understand graphics. I had a client a few months back that insisted that an advertisement I did for him he wanted as his logo. It took me a few days to explain to him how a logo is used and why what I had done couldn't be used as a logo. :bandhead0 It can get really frustrating when clients don't know the first thing about design, and I hate talking to them like they're slow.

Oh no...

I don't get offended that easily! I guess I should have called it my business design as most, if not all, of the components of that design will be associated with my business in some way shape or form.

I'm sure I'll get sick of looking at Luna after a while!:)

Well, although I'm no expert in what is a logo or not, the contrast between that very gorgous animal and the clear water showing the, sandy, pebbely lake bottom along with the very nice script is very appealing to me.
But as for your prior comment how could you tire of looking at such a nice looking animal? JOB WELL DONE!
