Some of you may already know this story but I'll quickly explain it before getting to the point
Matt and I (Angel) woke up Halloween morning to find our superdal crested girl dead. We were of course upset and didn't know what to do. I hopped online and post on some forums at what I should do with her kids. She had eggs in her still. We were told to try to save them and hope for the best.
On our website we kept a little note trail of what happened with the eggs. Here's what was posted:
So as you can see we had sort of a rough time in the beginning and even lost an egg.
Now for the good news!
Matt and I woke up last Saturday and checked our eggs. I knew the egg was either getting ready to hatch or die so we watched it closely for the next few days. There was nothing new when we checked it.
A couple hours later I had a weird feeling. I checked the eggs again and noticed the egg we were watching was collapsed. I panicked for a second thinking it died, pulled the container out and looked on the rim.
Our girl's baby survived and ironically looks NOTHING like mom! We aren't sure who is the father but he is definately a cutey with some pretty good structure as a bonus and developing spots every day ;D
I will post pics as soon as I find a camera to get some with for anyone who would like to see

01/03/11 - The egg is still doing great. Its getting some coloring spots on it but its checked on every day now and so far there are no leaks or mold or sweating coming from it. Hopefully it'll be hatching soon so we no longer have to worry.
12/20/10 - Quick update: The egg is doing great still! No mold or leaks. We are hoping for the best
11/29/10 - The egg that was having a hard time with its calcified shell ended up not making it unfortunately. It started to leak and though I patched the leak, it turned yellow and began molding and getting real soft beyond saving. However, its clutchmate is doing very well in comparison! You'd think its mom laid it herself
11/06/10 - One of the eggs is having a hard time forming its calcified shell on one end. I found a spot in it that seems to be molding as well as a leak. Patched it up and put it aside. Hopefully I'm just seeing things after being hit in the eye pretty hard...
11/04/10 - Found mold on the eggs today. Wiped it off and crossing our fingers that they'll be ok
11/02/10 - The eggs don't have their calcified shell on them. Its forming but ever so slowly. Its making me worry a bit...
