In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Gravid female?

I offer smaller meals more often. Instead of a medium rat once a week, I offer small rats every 5 days.

:iagree: Whether mine have been "off feed" because they were gravid, or just being picky balls, I always start them back with something easier to eat, but I do quickly work back up to their regular sized meal (over a few weeks).

Congrats on the new clutch!! Don't be too surprised if she doesn't start eating right away. Mine usually start eating within a week, or so, after laying eggs, but I've had a few that took about a month before finally eating. Good luck and keep us posted on your eggs!!! :D

thank you for everything guys and gals! i know they will just be normals but the excitement of a first clutch is getting to me!

Do a complete scrub down of her tub. Give fresh bedding, fresh clean water bowl. Wash her with dawn dish soap. Gets the egg smell gone. Offer small rats every 5 days as said and she should eat right away for ya!

Congrats on the eggs. My big normal female shed twice for me after ovulation. I started the countdown on what I thought was her prelay. Day 27 looked at her and she was going into shed!! She's now on day 25 and looking huge and miserable, lol. So I'm hoping to see eggs in the next week.!

As Abby said if they ovulate (and you are 1000% sure its one) they will have eggs or slug out. If they don't they just re absorb the follicles. I always tell any one who thinks their snake has ovulated to act like she is actually gravid and begin their countdowns.

Keep us updated on the eggs and the females progress in eating.

Congrats on the clutch! Woo!

Don't feel bad about missing that she was gravid! I had my first clutch last year (she took 48 days after pre-lay shed, the goober), and I could've sworn she didn't look any different than before I started pairing her! I also had trouble (still do) feeling eggs after ovulation, so that sure didn't help! :D

So yeah, those females can be sneaky!

i just looked at the eggs again today and a few are a little discolored and are dented a bit. i can also see the veins through the eggs. what does that mean?

Pics would help.

But sounds like you need more humidity. About seeing the veins, iunno... Thin shell maybe? Hopefully someone that's experienced this can help.
