    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Had a visitor yesterday......

My wife was coming back from the burn barrel yesterday evening and nearly stepped on this critter:

Damn, some people have all the luck!  Is that thing as big as it looks??

I hope you fed him/her with a dead mouse or something good so it keeps hanging around. More pictures of this baby would be nice. Of course I would be particularly careful as to where I was stepping with this fella around! NICE <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

beautiful animal, I also must commend you on letting the animal go about it's business
I own 240 acres of land in northern Wi. and I see blandings and northern woods all the time {83 acres sphagnum moss bog}, I think admiration is better than catching all the natives
I love seeing something walking along the bogs
My mother saw some bear last week
take care

I'm pleased to have this critter around.  The squirrels have decimated some of my bamboo groves and I'm hoping the rattler will nab a few of them for me.  I hate to shoot the tree rats, but they are pi$$ing me off.

We have lots of gopher tortoise burrows on our property, so I'm sure this guy(?) holes up in them much of the time.

But I have to admit that I do keep my eye on the ground a bit more than I used to.  Matter of fact I was tracking a squirrel just the day before, right where the rattler was located, and I kept my eyes in the trees the entire time.  Getting bit by a big guy like that could seriously ruin my day.
