    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

From herpwantads and the original BOI came what we know today as FaunaClassifieds.

For every one person that posts on the BOI about how a warning saved them from being scammed there must be many, many others that were saved from heartache and a loss of coin. The BOI is such a wonderful tool! And where else can you find a FREE classifieds available to all with this much traffic?

The BOI is wonderful. Before I attended the expo I went to this past weekend, I searched the BOI for everyone on the vendor list and made a good and bad guys list that I could take with me. Because of this website, I knew who I could trust, and who to stay away from. I got a great deal on a beautiful snake from a trusted vendor!

But for the historical record, FaunaClassifieds.com was registered on February 3, 2001.

HerpWantAds, which is the domain name that the BOI first appeared under, was registered on January 26, 2000.

You know, I believe I still have all the files for those original BOI forums (this current one is actually number three) somewhere. One is a plain HTML text file format, but the other is written in PERL to tie to the MySQL database it used. One of these days maybe I need to get them back on line, just for grins about some of the REALLY old events on the BOI.

But in any event, it's been real................ :eek:
