    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have three hatchlings that are housed together. One is quickly outgrowing the others. I just checked on them tonight.
One of them was limping everytime it took a step it would fall on the "weak" leg. Could this be a sign of MBD? Its slutchmate also seemed to have a weak leg, but nowhere near as severe.

I think they may not have got as much to eat because of their larger roomie, and thus the lack of calcium.

Well any way i separated out the two smaller hatchlings to another smaller container and put a little pile of calcium on the ground so they might lick it. i also gave them a dish of mealworms and phoenix worms with a calcium supplement. So basically i am really going to load these two little ones with as much calcium as safely possible.

Please give me some suggestions as to what to do, because sadly i don't think i could afford a vet at the moment. Hopefully i caught it early enough and i can fix it, but any help or suggestion will be greatly needed. The two i mentioned seem fine other than the one has a very weak for leg and the other has a slight limp although nowhere near as bad as the other (did i repeat?) But other than that bright and alert. PLEASE HELP!

p.s. sorry for the long post i am just worried.

Derek, it's possible that the larger of the three hatchlings was bullying the smaller two, and may have caused the leg injuries. Keep an eye on them and I hope they get better for you. Good Luck.

You did the right thing by seperating them, you may even want to give each baby its own enclosure. It may not be MBD, you said that one of them was bigger than the others, well, that bigger one may have bullied the other little ones around and hurt them.

Either way, you probably caught it early and shouldn't have any problems, just keep the food/water/calcium within easy reach for them. Keep a good eye on them and let us know their progress

Keep us posted

I would suggest separating them. I only keep a clutch together for a week or two, then as they grow they get separated. If one is larger than the other they will get separated sooner. The larger one may have hurt the other two along with keeping them from eating.

Yes they are separated now and thankyou all for responding. I am keeping the clutchmates together for the moment until i can get another bin, they are of equal size and have yet to bother one another, and i will be keeping a BIG eye on them. Again thankyou all!

We just hatched our first little leo, another egg will be hatching tomorrow or very soon, I was just wondering if it is alright for them to eat small meal worms [we have tons and in all sizes.] What is the ideal size for hatchlings? Smaller than their head or about a half inch? Please either message me or email me. Thanks.

My first baby I hatched had the same "weak leg" thing, and she was housed on her own. I upped her calcuim and that did the trick for me. Took a couple weeks though. Hope this helps.
