    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Since this is the first clutch I ever produced I was wondering if they are always little strikers when first hatched and if they grow out of it(I know not all have the same personality)or do they always wanna eat your face? Mine just wanna tear me apart all the time!:D
 
LOL...that's pretty normal in my experiences. For the most part, they (mine, at least) tend to calm down by the time they reach 300-350 grams (most of them, anyway). I also don't handle hatchlings very often so that may mean that mine take longer than others to become more tame.
 
It could be me i'd be pretty skidish too if I was 54g and had a 6ft 4in 300lbs man walkin up to me!! lol Some are ok and others want to tear me up! lol thanks for the info.
 
Nothing makes me happier than to see new hatchlings that strike everything close to them.
I have a friend who is having a real hard time getting his hatchlings to eat since most of his clutch is docile and carefree, and unfed :(

Mine have all mellowed by the time they hit 300 to 400 grams :)
 
I agree. I haven't hatched any myself yet, but I looooooove when my new additions have an attitude. Great feeders :) Not to mention hilarious when a 90g lil snake scares the you know what outta my wife lol.
 
Feeding question

Got a feeding question for you guys should I give them live? I want to get them eating F/T pink rats I tried to get them to take some F/T pinks today and none of them would take them they struck(go figure :D) at them but wouldn't take should I offer them live to get them started never did hatchlings before so and help would be appreciated!

The nice thing with the live thing is I got a mouse and rat farm like 10 min away right across from my dads house so I don't got to go far plus the guy is a good friend of mine! Guess I'll run to over and get some! I just wanted to go with frozen cause its easier!
 
I start mine on live mice hoppers for their first meal and go a bit bigger their next meal if and only IF they look like they need something a bit bigger. From mice I move to rat pups asap.
