In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Having a problem with spacing on the threads.

When I type out a couple of paragraphs or a list, the sentences all end up in bunches, and the list runs into a long sentence, instead of the format I type it in. Even if I add spaces, it ends up in a bunch. Is there any special setting I need to change to fix this?? For example-I'm typing this list-one item below the last-with a space between each word-but I bet it doesn't stay that way...( and there should be 4 sentences so far-with a space between each). Car Dog Lizard Baseball Apple Computer Thanks in advance if you can help with this.

hmmm...I tried changing the Message Editor Interface in the User CP...however, breaks show up no matter which one I use. :shrug01: Look at the attached pic...set it to that "WYSIWYG" A.K.A. "What You See Is What You Get." I never had it set on that yet I'm not having the issues that you are. I say give it a try though.

Looks like, for whatever reason, you're writing in code

I can't replicate the problem. I did three test posts, one with each Editor interface, and all three turned out just like above.
I just hit enter twice after each word to make it double spaced.

I belong to 5 or 6 other V-Bulletin forums, and the only ones I have this problem with are this one and the Repashy gecko forum.

None of the others bunch up like this.

Okay-now it works, and I didn't change a freakin' thing, but last night I switched over from WYSWYG to "Standard Editing-Extra Formatting Controls".

Just now, I've switched back to WYSWYG.

Let's see what this does...3 lines...double spacing.

Now-NOT using the quote feature...

I really hate computers, you know...

They had to be invented by men...just like the OTHER torture device..the BRA.

4th line...

Okay-I'm losing my freakin' mind.

Thanks for those who've tried to help.

I don't know why it's "reset" itself, but I have this problem with the formatting in spurts...evidently it's "fixed itself now...

You're sooooooo SPECIAL, Dand!!!

Like "little yellow bus" special.

Trying this whole thing again...another forum is acting up, so i'm checking ALL my VBulletin forums.

This is the 4th line...with one space between each...
