    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i bought a 20 inch sav from a petstore that diddnt care for him well, i got him because I could give him what he deserves. The problem is the only thing he eats is mice. Id rather keep him on insects and maybe a mouse once a week. I figured id try a goldfish with him. Anyone with ideas that would help me switch him to food that is healthier for him?

Goldfish are about as bad as you can get...

If you bought a savvy and want to keep him on insects you might be better off returning him. Firstly if they didn't care for him in the first place he may already be doomed. If he is fine he's going to need to eat Mice for the rest of his life anyways so you might as well accept feeding him mice and if you cant afford that again, maybe you should return him. He will probably grow to 4' long and be an eating machine so dont take what I'm saying as bashing you, I'm just letting you know you need to be ready for this.

Probably the best thing to do is to return him and get your money back and get an ackie or something.

im aware they get that big, and i can afford feeding him, He is not my first monitor and I do have others. I heard insects were the healthiest food for a sav and that mice werent too good. But if thats what it needs it is no problem what so ever.
