    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey - shove over! Quit touching me!!

Twins.
I couldn't tell from the relatively small cut I made this morning; but I did notice that the baby's head was facing different directions every time I looked in. I made a bigger cut, and still didn't figure it out for a while; then they shifted and I saw an eye where it shouldn't have been....naturally, I opened it up more so I could get a picture.

Not sure whether to credit these to SirenSanJose or Casey Hulse; but thanks!

(I separated them for identification purposes...funny thing is, I think this is the smallest egg of the clutch)

This is only my second time...and the first time I was able to get a picture.
The first time I experienced twins was with a clutch of carpet eggs - I wasn't checking them daily, and they hatched a nearly a week earlier than expected. I opened the incubator to find the entire clutch hatched. I inspected each one; but returned them to the egg box and added a small water container. A few days later, when transferring them to their individual boxes, I noticed that there was an extra baby (I had 17 eggs, so I had prepared 17 boxes...I don't count hatched babies, lol; I just make sure all the eggs are empty before discarding them).

I agree, thanks.
Hopefully, one is a girl...I've been hoping for a female to send to somebody who has been waiting patiently for far too long.

I had one female-heavy clutch that helped improve the overall ratio for the season; but the others only had one female each.

Sucks sometimes but thats nature. Really dont have control over it. Things happen for a reason. Seems like all but one normal this year are female though.

One was definitely hogging the food.
The little one left the egg and got trapped because they were both still attached to the yolk, and the other didn't want to face the world yet.
