    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Have any of you ever fed these? I'll be getting some at a reptile show here on Sunday and am curious to hear opinions/experiences/anything else...thanks in advance!

Feed them when the worms are smaller. I have used them many times for geckos, bearded dragons, and legless lizards. All of them love the hornworms. They grow extremely fast so make sure you can feed off a whole cup within the first couple of days if you do not have larger lizards. Otherwise you will be stuck with 4 inch long worms that are illegal to release.

I have fed them to my leos, beardies, and frog and they all loved them. You do have to feed them in a few days times because they do grow fast and they bite when they are bigger when you pick them up. It's more a sharp pinch then anything but still annoying. I don't usually have to worry about them getting big because my beardie loves to eat the big ones.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I remember when I was in Florida in March there was a huge reptile show in Tampa I went to and I was talking to a guy from Carolina who bred amazing blazing blizzards, SHTCTB's etc and he was telling me about how he uses hornworms to fatten his breeders because they retain so much of the worm's weight...so I've been looking forward to finding them in Canada since then.

They will put on weight fast with hornworms. My Tokay's are the best with hornworms, they grab one end off the worm, scurry backwards up the wall, then procede to hammer the wall with the worms :smash: I laughed so hard the first time they did it, I actually thought someone was knocking on my door.
