• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How close in size can Bullsnakes get compared to Indigos?

A bullsnake, even a large one, will stay relatively skinny. An indigo can have a very wide circumference, perhaps 4-5" in diameter, when full grown. The indigo snake is North America's largest snake, and I personally caught (and instantly released after photos) a wild individual that was over 8 feet long and quite hefty.

The highway 277 bulls were 9' or so ive heard. But like snowgyre mentioned they will not have the sheer mass that drymarchon build up.

Mine is a male Stillwater Bull. I read the largest Bulls come from Oklahoma and Texas. However big the biggest ones are.

Here's the latest pic I can find of my Bull. He's bigger than this now.

8 ft. 10 lb bulls

I know of at least two upper midwest bulls of that size in private collections within driving distance of me. I also recently purchased some '09 Crumbly reds from someone in eastern WI . The parents are both that size as well. I have never seen any Drymarchon that were as large.

I've seen several in Wyoming that were every bit of 8 foot. I recently traded a 1.1 pair of LTC bulls caught around Abilene, TX that were over 7ft. Not sure of thier exact length but I am 5'10" and holding them up they had well over a foot still on the ground.
