In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My only concern is with how tall it is. 12" in my opionion is not tall enough. Beardies like to climb and it also might be hard to keep the temps low enough with the basking bulb being so close. Other then that sounds great, maybe they have something close thats about 18" tall

Actually they do have a 18" high one, I was debating on getting that one or getting the 12" one instead..guess I will go ahead and get the 18" one. Yea they r kool cages especially with the sides on them liek that..go to their website and you will find ALL kinds of cutouts not just the bearded dragon one but an iguana one, geckos, tumbleweeds, plants, just different kinds PLUS THEY ARE AFFORDABLE!!!

They are very cool looking and I love the dragon cutouts. My only concern would be lighting. Where do you put the lighting? Can't put it on top, side or bottom. So that means you have to put the lighting on the inside. With the cage only being 12" high it won't work out. Let's say you have the slim fixture which is about 1" and then add a lightbulb, which would be another 5-6". That would place your bulb approx 6" from the bottom. You going to cook your dragon even with a low watt bulb. Even the 18" high one would be pushing it. Having the light fixtures on the inside of the enclosure requires at least 24" height and 48" width to get proper heating for both the hot and cool ends of the enclosure.

Also, the plexiglass sliding doors will get scratched beyond belief.

I am in no way putting down his design because I think it's totally awesome. I just think that it could be tweaked a little bit. It has a ton of potential!!!

IMHO, it's a little small, but doable for a 15" dragon. 48" long and 18" wide is the mininium, and that's kinda small. I prefer 48-72" long and 24" wide and 18" high or higher for my MVB tanks. Is your dragon older and not going to grow?

Hey Rebel, go check out the site. You have several options of cut-outs for the top, but I agree if you are getting one of those cages it wouldn't be a good idea to get one without any cut-outs.

I went and checked out the entire site this morning. I had no idea he had so many custom choices!!! I like seeing that he has the larger dimensions available too. With the proper dimensions and overhead lighting the cages should work out fine.

Anyone who gets one, let us know how they work out. :)

i checked his site prices are pretty good but why don't you save money and build on yourself or have someone build it for you if you want the bd hole just print out a template rough cut with a jigsaw and finish with router

ok well she is a yr old and as for growing she is still growing, just a slow grower I guess. Her parents are about 19" long but more buff than long..same fro scralett, buff but not to long. The demensions like I said are 18" high, 25.5" wide, and 37.5 " long. The top is screen and the sides r the dragon cutout with plexiglass behind the cut out cause she would get her nails caught in the screen backing, the back is also plexiglass and the front is sliding plexiglass. Its affordable for me cause knowing me i am a total retard when it comes to crafty stuff like building m,y own cages..sorry but im a girl and there for I am limitless on certain things! lol :) I was choosing between this or a 55 gallon cage, I figureed this would be ok since the 55 is slimmer than the cage I was going to get.

I would get nothing less than a 24" x 24" x 48" That is what most breeders use and recommend for 1 adult dragon. Plus you'll never have to buy another enclosure for them.

Regardless of your choice let us know how it works out. :)

go with a 28x24x24 cage dont go with the dont go by something you may have read saying that a 55gal is big enough because unless you want her doning u turns for the rest of her life.

ok well I am gonna be getting the 48" long x 35.5" wide by 18" tall customized one with screen topping, cutouts with plexiglass backing, and tiled bottom...is that an ok size? I was going to put her in the 75 gallon but we knew our top dog male was growing and needed more room since he kinda is way more longer than her so I was going to get her that size..its alitte more expensive but its worth it I think..

Sounds good to me. I personally use a 48" x 24" x 24". The only difference for you, is since your enclosure is 6" shorter, you'll have to use a lower wattage bulb than I do. Once you get your temps right I think it will be a perfect new home!!! :)

well I was going to use a 100 watt bulb, with a uvb light strung across the back side. I was going to start out with the 100 watt and see where temperatures r with that and if they r to high I was goign to drop down to a 75 watt. Of course she wont go into it until the temperature is right in there. I am going to put sand in there but honestly I was thinking about leaving the tiles in there for the substrate...sand just adds alittle more to look at instead of tiles...what do you guys think about that setup? good or bad?

I use a 48x24x24, I use sand but stick with the tile that way you dont have to worry about impaction especially with younger bds

Ok new updated pics of the cage..this is what it will EXACTLEY look like except the wire backign behind the cutout and the stain is alot more darker though...
