So I've been reading a variety of different information regarding the humidity of the enclosure for my beardies.
In one place I see that humidity needs to be between 35%-55%.
In another I see that humidity doesn't need to be very high at all, as long as it doesn't drop below 25%.
One place recommends using waterfalls/moss/watering dishes to keep humidity up.
Another says using these things will raise it too high and cause respiratory issues.
I have a meter to read humidity in the cage and it seems to be really hard to keep it above the 35%. Most places that I've read said that 1-2 mists a day should be enough to keep the humidity at the proper reading. However, I've keep an eye on the reading all day yesterday (before my beardies arrived) and I would spritz the cage and it would maintain at 35% for only 1-2 hours and then drop back down below 20%.
I currently have a shallow watering dish in the cage for them to bathe in/drink from (I know to change it regularly).
My question is, what does everyone here tend to do in regards to their humidity? What do you keep it at? Do you use any props? (waterfalls/watering dishes/moss?)
Thanks so much!!!
