In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I can't believe this

Terry,

Yikes...those are some emaciated leps...can't see how anyone would have the cojones to post a pic like that...then again, I can't see how anyone would buy those animals when they are in that condition.

Read the question and answer part

Read the question and answer section, the seller is getting hammered for selling these!

Deserve it too!

Those leos are so bad looking that I don't think there's any chance of turning it around...They need to be put down. I hate it when people try to pass off sick animals. I second Marcia's comments, "Shame on you!" to that seller.

I made a screen capture of the image at work which I will post tomorrow. The person used the name "critter" and was from Texas. I would have posted there name, but I am not that familiar with reptibid. Did anyone get the email address?

yep they pulled it!

I e-mailed to ask why they let people sell such sick reptiles on there site and this is what i got back in response.

Dear user,
We understand your point of view on these fellows being sold in this condition. But like the user's agreement says, "Article 2. But due to this animal cruelty, we will have to discontinue this users use in this site. We apologize for any troubles this has caused. BUt we also hope you understand that what the user's post on this auctions are beyond are reach.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Item number: #1086922158

These leos are in need of immediate vet care needles to say they would not even survive the shipping. Why do you allow people to sell sick reptile on your site?

So off it went.

It is probably true that they do not see every ad that is placed there and it would be tough to monitor everything going on all the time but it is nice to see that they are doing something about it now that they are aware of the situation.

I dont think it is their job to police their ads.
and if they feel like it is.....I don't think they will get to see each and every ad.

Another ad

The same user has posted the same leos again...just in a different auction.

I have seen some disgusting things in my time around reptiles, but this one really takes it. I feel terrible for those leos for whatever they have had to live through. Not a single one of them appears to be anywhere near healthy.

I don't think it's Reptibid's responsibilty to "police" their ads (can you imagine if Ebay had to do that?). BUT, I think it is the duty of the other Sellers and Buyers to point out to this guy (under his Q&A section at the least) that trying to sell these extremely sick animals will not be tolerated by the good people who do buy and sell on Reptibid.

Even if Reptibid were to ban him, there are easy ways for him to get back in under a different user name and continue to sell sick reptiles.

Woah

I'm sorry, but even PetCo has better looking leos than that. It gives me the creeps thinking that they might have other herps:(

I guess closing that auction and banning the user did no good whatsoever. Whoever it was that complained, please do it again.

I've had a couple of leos that I couldn't save, that ended up looking similar to those...I put them in my freezer and bawled my eyes out for it. There's no way I could try to pass them off on someone else. It takes a "special" kind of person that can do something like that.

Here's the picture:

Oops. It looks like we both posted the picture at the same time. I tried to edit mine out, as yours posted first, but being that this is the BOI, we can't edit our posts. I am sooo sorry for the duplication, folks. Seeing those leos once is bad enough.

I just checked the site, the auction is now closed.
Now those need to be taken from his/her A$$.

Reptibid

All this lowlife has to do is register under a new name and put em back on. Hopefully, if that happens, he will get noticed quickly and banned again.

Or Maybe someone here should bid if he appears again and everyone make no comments in the Q&A part.... that way when the auction closes, we'd all have access to his name and address and email as the winner could post it on the BOI.

I don't know, Just a thought!
