    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I was thinking. Is there a way for us to mark a user ID as buy from or do not buy from?

that way when we are looking at the classifieds we can skip the ones that belong to a person we have marked do not buy from.

And also this will be something that only we will see. No one else can see who I have marked buy from or do not buy from. And I won't be albe to see others special marks as well.

perhaps just a red or a green button or something.
 
You can use the ignore list. That's what I use, it does the job acceptably. You won't be able to see their posts or ads if they're on the list.

I can't use the ignore list. If I was just buying and selling.....sure.

But I need to be able to read people's posts and stuff.
 
Sorry, but this would require custom coding, and I just can't see that it would add enough value to the site in general to be worth the expenditure.

If you are going to be doing business with anyone, then a quick search on the BOI would likely be advisable, instead of relying solely on your memory.
 
You know what? I just need to re learn how to use the board. Apperantly there is a "BOI" button that automatically does the seearch for you. That is close enough to what i want.

Well, that is a rather new feature here. And yes, it is the result of custom coding. But I had enough people asking for something of that nature that I felt it was well worth implementing.
 
I keep a list on my computer. Two lists actually. Do not buy from, and do not sell to.

Most PC's come with notepad. A simple text document does the trick.
