    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i need help please

i know most herpers out there have a soft spot for abused and unwanted animals, i am notorious for it. unfortunately i am a snake person that just took in a bearded dragon and im not sure what if anything is wrong with him. right off the bat his poor tail mustve broke at some point and healed on a 90 degree angle. i will show pics of all of this by the way. next there is a spot on his side where the pigment is gone. overall he is tame and from what i was told by the previous owner will eat flukers pellets, greens and crickets. he is most definitely an adult, not sure how old but if he had his tail he would be pushing 15-17 inches. if anyone can give advice on any of his conditions or if there is something special i need to do please let me know. he will be going into a 4'x2'x18" cage. could someone please also help me with sexing them, i though if there was a visible indentation between the legs when you hold the tail up it was a female, if so than i believe he to be a she. thanks again, greg

Poor little thing looks like it's been through the ringer.
I'm sure you will get other comments. The only thing I can, in good conscience, offer is a recommendation to take him/her to a competent reptile vet. This is advisable on many levels. If only because the poor thing has suffered and may, indeed, have need of treatment for parasites, MBD assessment etc.

We're really happy that you've rescued this fella from his previous home. We're not completely sure, but it looks like the side might be a burn. But taking him to the vet is the best thing to do. That way you can start immediately to correct anything that's wrong. Here are some links to figure out the sex of your dragon:

Good luck with everything!

new decision

i am not quite sure how to handle this guy, but if there is anyone in the clearwater tampa area that would like to take him, please let me know. i am not really prepared to deal with dragons and i feel it would be in the animals best interest if it was with someone who was. please email me or respond to the post if you are interested. thanks greg
