    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm Baaaaaack!

Impossible to believe it. :)

In January of 2006 I started a Masters of Education degree program. I knew that my hobby would have to take a back burner. That was the only way to get an advanced degree and teach high school full time. Of course at the time I thought I would merely have a full time job and full time school. I also ended up becoming a summer school administrator, consulting for a publishing company, writing parts of several textbooks, and teaching extra classes at my job. BUT I'm happy to say that it has been a most momentous day in my life. Today was the last day of the school year, I gave my last final and saw my last regular student until August. I got home from work and found out that my Master's thesis had been approved, and I now have an M.S. Degree. What a wonderful sense of accomplishment!

Anyway, to those who "knew me" before I went away and disappeared in the cyber dust, I'm back. Hopefully for good.

Thanks

I really missed this community of friends. It has been a very difficult 18 months, but now I find myself wondering what i'm going to do with all my extra time!

For the time being, I'm just going to lurk a bit and see what is going on in this universe again!

It's good to see you back, girl. :)

Congrats on all of your accomplishments, sounds like you've done wonderfully.

Hi. Me too! I finished my masters in special education a few months ago. When I started, I quit my p/t dog training job and only had 4 pets. Now, I have 15, including a male veiled I just adopted!

Teaching is a second career for me. I turned 49 this year. Isn't it nice to be done and have that degree after the name?
