    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

As far as demand goes - is it better to breed two from the same location (Ambanja/Ambanja) or better to cross breed - for example, an Ambanja male with a Sambava female

My personal opinion (and personal practice) is to breed same locales. Cross-breeding can produce amazing looking animals; I do own one Ambanja/Nosy cross, but never bred him to any of my own females.
 
The general consensus in the chameleon community is that crosses are less desirable. They are often sold at a lesser cost. The thinking behind it is there is the potential to pollute the market with cross females that can easily be misrepresented as they are almost impossible to differentiate from one another.

It is done by some of the most reputable breeders and lots of beautiful animals are produced. Honesty is very important in regards to full disclosure of the locale mix. Once it changes hands it is out of the breeders control so IMO it is important to choose the buyers carefully. Thats easy to say when you are not sitting on 40 female crosses that you have to feed and are too large to be housed together.

In short "my opinion" is stick with the pure locale. Ambanjas are amazing already. Why muck it up.
