    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry: Ben Rogers

If this is the Ben Rogers in Southern California, then you can't go wrong. I've bought from him and sold to him, and spoken at length with him. 100% stand up guy.

Recently he went to bat with the city council in a small town for everyone there to retain the right to keep snakes (mainly larger ones) and successfully kept the anti-reptile nazis at bay. :)

I thought he seemed like a stand-up guy. But, I seem to be having a tough time getting an email reply to him. I even sent a deposit via paypal for a baby super tiger, and it hasn't been claimed - It's only been 1 1/2 days, but still seems strange.

Maybe I'm just incredibly impatient!
 
I live near Ben and have seen his collection. The parents of the retics he is selling are outstanding. Ben is defintely a good guy.

It is not really like Ben to not return emails (at least, not in my experience). If he has not gotten back to you, he must be either away from home, or very busy and not seen it yet. He has always gotten back to me right away.

Whether or not it is unusual for Ben to ignore people who have sent him money... He still has time to repost his ad on Kingsnake every day.

At this point - the snake I have put money on is still shown as available, he has not had any correspondence with me AT ALL since I sent the money to him, and I've decided it is not worth the trouble to deal with someone who doesn't like to communicate. If I have troubles PAYING him, I don't even want to know what it will be like trying to get a snake sent to me.

I've requested Ben cancel my paypal payment - but guess what... no response. As soon as this message is posted, I will be on the phone with paypal to see if I can get it manually reversed.

I guess the moral of this story is there are people out there who are a LOT more eager to take my money... And they are even interested in doing a little something for customer service. I'm done with this thread, and won't have another comment on it.
 
I hate computers!

It's official... I really hate computers now. Please disregard all of my previous comments. I've made contact with Ben, and confirmed that none of my emails have made it to him in the last 4-5 days.

I talked to Ben on the phone for a bit - I'd have to say he's a good guy. We'll both have to just throw our computers out the window of a tall building, and use the phone instead.
 
I have to say Ben is an awesome guy! I bought a great Female Super Tiger from him last year and she is now about 7.5-8ft! You shouldn't have any problems with Ben. BTW I too also have the privilege to live near Ben and have seen his adult retics and they are Stunning to say the least.
