    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If the name is Derek Roberts. Keep your money, he scammed of us of over $200 CAD. We were to purchase 3.1 mangrove snakes from him. Once we sent the money, he told us they were looking bad and would refund us. That was last year we are still waiting. I think he thought we were an easy target because we are Canadian. Please avoid Derek Roberts at all costs. He has scammed several people look for his name in the BOI.

We have all emails and we called him several times too.

I just looked him up in the BOI, because I am sure he has pulled off a similar stunt to someone else.

If he'd like to make ammends and refund us the monies he owes for 3.1 mangrove snakes for $110 shipped. It would be very much appreciated.

I see, unless this man is just dragging this out, however he is not stealing my money, but he did have some good things to say in email.

He sent $110 dollars for the snakes and I have not been able to refund his money since I do not have his mailing address. Wrong person, wrong amount of money. That doesnt make any sense to me, hes trying to look good, now hes telling me who he scammed?

Either way...i know most of those references, and I really appreciate the fact that he would ship first.

Id appreciate some more input of what to do or think here.

Vanan is my better half. I frequent forums more often and so am the vocal person.

Yes, my mistake is that, not been scamming but major communication problems experienced by other people. Jumped the gun on that one, but because of this deal and not having received our refund we are now extremely wary of dealing with American sellers. My apologies on posting misinformation.

An email has been sent with our mailing address, which we have sent and we have also made previous phone calls. I will let the BOI know when we receive the refund. We still have the receipt for the original MO we sent to him.

If we receive our refund, then I'd be more than happy to retract my previous statements and finish this as a happy customer. We did contact Mr. Roberts telling him we would go to the BOI if he did not get into contact with us.

after all of these negative responses if you don't INSIST he ship first you're begging to get ripped off!!

personally, i wouldn't do business with him as a matter of ethics, (even if he will ship to you first). He ripped people off...he needs to make it right or continue to lose sales!! My opinion here...

Refund?

Well, we have sent an email off in hopes we will receive the refund. Once we receieve it, I will retract all negative posts regarding Mr. Roberts.

Really, this could have been avoided if he had INFORMED us of his new address considering this is still an unresolved transaction.

Am I mistaken or is it that anything you post here stays posted?

Last season I also browsed this forum to see if anyone had an inquiry on Derek Roberts. Very mixed responses posted and I mentioned it to Derek before I followed thru with a purchase of 2 female western hognose he had posted for sale. I was very satisfied with the purchase. He was very responsive with information before and after this transaction took place.

I agree he should refund promptly any money he knowingly owes people. I would expect though, based on my association with him during our previous transaction, that it would do Derek well to continue to maintain the integrity he had exhibited during our transaction with others in the future. I found him trustworthy and someone I would do business with again.

Well we emailed him a few days back. Still no response regarding the refund, obviously he knows he's owing. Anyone gets in touch with him, please get him to check his email.

he has been responding to me,but he doesnt do it but every 3-4 days. However the status bar sometimes says that he has read it without a response....Im pretty sure I wont deal with this guy. Everytime we talk, he wont give me his phone number as i request.
