    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

oops! In my post above, I was confusing Jason Linebaugh with Taron Langhover.
Jason did ship me 2 leopard gecko's which arrived dead. He was supposed to ship overnight delivery and was payed the amount needed. Instead, he shipped 2 day delivery and pocketed 13.00 of my shipping money. He shipped during winter without any heat packs and only crumpled up newspaper in the deli cups with the leopard gecko's. It was and still is the worst packing job for shipping that I have ever seen.

I called him right away and he pretended not to know who I was. He never told me to ship the geckos back to him. His exact words were... "I didn't give you no live arrival guarantee B****!" He refused to do anything about it, but call me every name in the book and lie about what he paid for shipping. He said he paid the amount I gave him, but the shipping receipt was 13.00 less than what I paid for shipping.

I do not know Mellissa, so his acusation that we are friends trying to rip people off is rediculous. I have never ripped anyone off, nor will I ever. There are plenty of people on this board who can vouch for my honesty and integrity.

Jason is a theif and will never have a good name as long as I and other people he has done wrong are here to see that he does not make it in this business.

I hope that you get the animals that he has promised and in the condition that he has promised. If you do, consider yourself lucky and don't do business with him again. He is a scumbag that gives this business its bad reputation when it comes to dealing with sellers.

Jason, You make me sick. You didn't even care about the gecko's that you shipped. They must have suffered a great deal unless you shipped them dead, which I would not doubt. They smelled like they had been dead for days. You will never have a good reputation. You never had one to start with!!

As long as you have ads posted & are selling reptiles it is my business as well as anyone else that reads them. You forget,you made your bad reputation not your customers. How about quit blaming everyone else & being a man & admitting your mistakes. You say your trying to start over but starting by a lie who you are isn't going to exactly get you a glorius reception back into the reptile world. We even have to doubt that you left it for a year because of your past & continuous lies. Jason did you ship in insulated box this time & were heat packs needed & used? Cheryl what all did you buy because he still has the ad up for the ball pythons.

I just havent took them off the classifieds yet. I never lied about who I was either my partner and I decided to use his name because mine has been tarnished by all these false accusations. Kimtall's post all seem similar right? 1st it was the other guy with the worst shipping ever then she tells me i dont even remember what i sent her but then later on she remembers then says it was the worst shipping again..I know when most people buy reptiles online there is useally a fixed shipping price that covers everything box, postage, etc... Kim says i pocketed $13 in shipping from her which is rediculous for ones its a fixed price and she didnt think about the box, rubbermaids etc... Im not going to go on playing these childish games anymore soon as Cheryl's snakes leave will be the last you hear from me on this forum. Kim i remember the phone conversation as well and i believe you started off with all the profanity like a little tough azz.

Just to be clear

I told Jose/Jason I wanted to run an inquiry on the BOI, and even went so far as to ask permision to do so. (I know I don't need permision to inquire, but I try to be polite) I was told "No Problem." So he (Jose/Jason) had to have been aware that his e-mail addy may tie him to his past, and while he did not volunteer that info, he did not try to keep me from finding it either. I'm not sure I would have volunteered the info either, but then I plan to never find myself in a situation where I have to decide whether or not to volantarilly disclose negative info about myself. And the honest to God truth is, he would not have sold these snakes to me, (Or probably to anyone else) if he had voluntarily disclosed the info contained in this thread.

There must be a partner named "Jose" in order for the money order to be cashed. So, while Jose/Jason did not disclose their relationship, or that apparently Jason was writing to me as Jose......there still has to be a partnership of some kind between them in order to cash the money order.

Jose/Jason offered to ship my snakes yesterday so that I could recieve them today. I had to ask him to hold off shipping until today for delivery tomarrow. (I have a dental appt shortly that I have waited 2 weeks for, and my mouth hurts enough that I was not willing to change my appt~ poorly placed temp crowns have cut my gums)

So, while I am not at all comfortable with this deal and can hardly wait for it to be completed.......it is my doing that it is not done yet. And as far lieing to me......in the strictest sense Jose/Jason did not lie to me....they simply did not volunteer negative information.

I'll be looking for that tracking number today Jose/Jason. As soon as I get the package I will begin taking pictures with the digital camera, and I will let everyone know how this works out in the end.

I just finished boxing them up and I am about to leave I will get you the tracking number this afternoon. 2 of the babies are in the final stages of shedding shouldnt effect shipping. Glad to see someone things with all thier brain, instead of listening to what everyone else says. Cheryl's been more then a pleasure dealing with and I would recommend her to anyone.

How do I get myself in these situations? I'm supposed to be the one who trusts NO ONE, (At least thats what I keep hearing from friends and family) and yet I find myself again trying really hard to trust someone I already sent money too.

At any rate, Jose's last name is going to have to be Dominguez as that is what I wrote on the money order. Here is the info for where I sent the money order

And, as I have said all along.....while I don't know how I wound up in this situation, I consider myself a reasonable and fair person. I will post pics of those snakes when I get them, and if they are in good condition I will allow my name to be used as a reference. However, same deal the other way.....if they are not in good condition I will post pics and I will insist on being a reference every chance I get.

I've got to go. (I'm gonna really yell at my Dentist) Lets try to give Jose/Jason the benifit of the doubt until I get those snakes. It really is the only option for me at this point, and hopefully tomarrow I will be posting a glowing report of how this person has changed his ways.

I did not start using any profanity over the phone with you until you pretended not to know who I was and insisted that you shipped overnight and not 2 day when the proof you were lying was right in front of me. You cannot turn this around as if you are the one who got screwed. You refused to do anything about the gecko's. You never asked me to ship them back or offered to refund my money if I sent pictures of them dead. All you did was tell me "I didn't give no live arrival guarantee B****!" You were a complete jerk to me and could have cared less about the gecko's. By the way, I have no problem selling reptiles and I am building a nice business right now. How are things going for you??? lol
 
Ritchie - I can actually find six different listings for the name "Jose Dominguez" in Homestead, FL 33030 using www.ussearch.com.

Jason - It might be helpful if you posted the information for the Jose Dominguez in question. It might help others believe that your business partner (and your use of his name on emails coming from your own email address) is legit.
 
And Yahoo's white pages lists three people by the name of "Jose Dominguez" in Homestead, Florida. None of them are at any of the previously mentioned addresses in this thread.

I immediatly fired off a reply asking which shipping company. No response as of yet. I called the 1-800 number. Thats USPS, and sure enough USPS shows that package #ET717872111US was shipped out of Homestead, FL yesterday.

Well, I am NOT a happy camper so far. Here is a copy of an e-mail I sent to Jose/Jason on 4/16 BEFORE the deal was complete (Please note this copy of my e-mail is from my saved records as I forgot to hit "save copy" when I sent it, but I did print it off for my records. Just for general referance I also mention on page 1 or 2 of this thread that I requested USPS not be used)

Monday will be fine. I will have a money order in the mail as soon as the post office opens tomarrow morning. When you do ship please send me a tracking #. You probably already know, but in case you don't....don't use USPS to ship. (Someone sent me a snake USPS in Febuary, it is illegal to ship snakes USPS, the box was lost, and when it was finally found my mail lady was completly creeped out that there was a snake in that box!)

The "Monday" is because I thought the money order would get to him by Friday or Saturday, so I intended for him to ship last Monday.

My mail lady and I are friends, and she won't throw much of a fit, only because we are friends, but it's gonna be hard for me to REMAIN friends with her if people keep shipping me snakes USPS! Poor lady already practically has palpations just from delivering my Reptiles magazine.
 
Well, it seems like a lost cause. After all the dicussion about reputation, etc. etc. the snakes were shipped USPS?
 
You know, even with everything that's transpired, I actually thought that Jason would have been smart enough to capitalize on an opportunity to turn his reputation around.

Instead, he betrays his customer's request and trust by shipping illegally and making her an unknowing party to his crime. Since Jason has shown his integrity to be questionable, it should be interesting to see what condition the snakes arrive in.

I guess what they say is true... it really is impossible for a leopard to change its spots.

Jose/Jason, why did you flat out lie and go against a customers explicit instructions(not to mention FEDERAL LAW), to ship the snakes through the USPS?

You said you were trying to get your name back? I guess you did, what was it again, MUD?
