    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and I have my eye on one of the captive-bred Guyanan Red Tailed Boas at LLLReptile.com. I've searched this forum and found both good and bad postings about this breeder, however they're a bit out of date. Does anyone have any more recent interaction experiences with LLLReptile? Are they a good place to buy from? Do they have warrantees that they honor well?

Thank you in advance,

-Amy King

I live just down the street from LLL reptile, I have purchased many animals, supplies and feeders from them. I have never had an issue with any of the animals, supplies or feeder. In fact I just ordered some Rat Pups yesterday and will be getting them on Thursday, Nice fast service.

I bought a couple of snakes from them at the Raleigh NC show last spring and they are doing great. I got them at a good price and they have been healthy problem free animals.

not a breeder - a store

Hello,

I have bought things from the Raleigh NC show as well as online. It has been a mix bag of luck. several things that i picked up at the raleigh show died within the first 3 days.
2 dwarf chameleons - died the 1st week
1 female jacksons dead by 4th day.
Spider - still alive
2 monkey tailed skinks done thru mail - still alive and doing well.
I order crickets thru them and have bought several orders of stock.
I will say that SCott has been great about returning emails.
Always returned them...... talked about credit on some of it.. but i was slack and didnt follow thru ( my fault ).
I will say that i was empressed with Scott's email replies..

I have never had an issue with stock orders.

anyone purchase hognoses from LLL?

I'm thinking of getting ordering some for a friend who's also on the west coast to show him my gratitude for him (belatedly) fixing my computer - if and when he actually fixes it.

I know hognoses are notorious refusers of rodents, I was wondering if anyone has a hognose from LLL that's thriving well on mice. Thanx. -Whit

Something to keep in mind with any large dealer like LLL is that they have a very wide variety of animals from many sources. Many people's "bad" experiences with dealers stem from the fact that the animal is wild caught and touchy to begin with. For example, the dwarf chameleons seem to be next to impossible to keep alive and even jacksons can be very touchy (especially depending on your location). That is the nature of the animal, and really should not reflect on LLL's business practices.

Bad Experience w/ LLL Reptile

I used to by crickets from LLL all the time, but I ordered a sub-adult female albino leopard gecko and 0.3 juv. striped leos from them about 3 years ago, and they were all very sick and dehydrated when they arrived. I ordered 3 stripes as advertised and I got 3 jungles, no stripes, and they were all very skinny and didn't eat anything. They all died within a couple of weeks. The albino dropped her tail after a week then died a couple of days later. That turned me off from ever using them again.

LLL

I purchased a Guyana Red tail from LLL last August at the SLC Wasatch Reptile show.

He was healthy, mite free, tame and ate anything you threw in front of him! I have nothing but good things to say about LLL, they are nice people and seem to have great animals. Not that it has anything to do with animals, but I have also ordered supplies from them which got her fast and fine as well:D Hope this helps!

I just recieved a purchase today!

So this past weekend I did a little GTP shopping, I was looking for a pair, I saw LLL Reptiles had a sub adult pair for sale. I decided to order since I didnt get a pair from a another source. Well it turns out they only had the female. Crap! I didnt really want her, i wanted a pair, but I went with it. I received today after I order it yesterday. SHe's beautiful green, well mannered, and seems to adjusting to her new setup. ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE IS THE KINK IN THE TAIL. They told me she had a slight KINK, well I would just say its a slight KINK, its kinda of (oh hell, its very noticable) I hope they didnt mess her up when they probed when she was younger. (thats what they lady over the phone at LLL reptiles told me) THe chick, (dont recall her name said, I shouldnt worry she will be able to breed for me (I bought them for breeding purposes) anyhow the packaging was great, and the animal came in at 9:50am exact. WOW, anyways thats all I have to say.

They're great

I recently purchased a bunch of stuff form them and they're customer service is top notch.
