In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is this a ghost?

If it's not I am owed some serious cash...

Thanks in advance.

Sorry everyone but I have to disagree with you. This looks like a ghost to me. Im assuming this is not a neonate boa. The picture someone posted before me is a young ghost and when they are younger their colors are shparper and cleaner. This happens to all boas regardless of morph. Adults are never as clean as babies. Im sure if you did more image searches on google you would find an older ghost boa that looks a hellof alot like yours.

Oh and one more thing. Someone before me said it looks like a really nice hypo. Hypos are almost always reddishs and pinks. Never this type of light tanish. And anerys are simply a silver/gray color.

I never said it was or was not a ghost, simply posted a pic of a ghost I found on a search. That is why everyone is invited to post their opinions and to find out if it is or not. Everything that is posted are peoples opinions.

I am going to have to disagree with you on this. I would say the first pic is not a ghost and the second picture is a ghost. even in neonete boas the colors are somewhat washed out looking. This boas does seem to be reduced pattern but has too much coloraton to be a ghost. For the lack of any red hues around the browns i would say it in not a hypo as well.

Okay I'll bite

Beth, why are you asking?? Did you buy it as a ghost, if so, did you have pictures before the purchase of this animal?? How long have you had it, how old is it? Are you trying to sell it??

I had a litter of ghost's last year and I agree with Bill, and Nich on this, that's not a ghost. Brown mimicks red, ghost's have no red. As neo's thay can have lavender in the tail and tail side areas and they white will yellow with age. My holdback male still shows lavender after a fresh shed. The eyes should be a grey to steel blue color also. Hope this helps you.

If you still have doubts from us, then send the pic to Boabasement, Rich Isle, or Basically Boas and you'll get your conformation from them.

Laura, Yes she did on account of that is what I Thought it was :) But I am going to make it right by her and take the snake back and I'll deal with what it is :) Its already been discussed between Beth and I :)

I may be interested in it bill if it is a female. Email me. It seems like a nice reduced pattern that i could breed to a real nice hypo.

Maybe

Yes It is a female, Maybe between the 3 of us we can set something up,where as you buy the female from Beth (for a agreeable price Between the 3 of us) (her shipping it to you saving on stress on the snake) And I'll make up the difference to Beth, Let me know what you think.

Well, the question has obviously been answered at this point, and the consensus is definitely right...it's not a ghost. ;)

I am happy to see that Bill, you are going to fix this quickly. Beautiful boa though, I too would not mind having her.

Bill if you ever need a boa identified just shoot me an email with a pic my man..

I thought ghosts were anerythristic AND hypomelanistic?
It may be hypo, in the litteral sence of the word, but most allow for the erythrin to come out more, making them more red.
I have to aggree with a NICE reduced pattern normal.
