In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've got EGGS!!!!!

:D Well, at least you didn't throw yourself down on the floor and throw a tantrum!

This is a situation where sweat is a good thing. I'd almost bet you that one that you didn't see veins is just fine. If not, it would have turned green and very stinky (as you've already experienced). There's just bound to be something in there keeping it going.

However, I wonder if maybe you could knock on one of the eggs and remind the babies it's time to come out? Hellooooo? Is anyone in there? Can you hear me now?

Especially with a pair of scissors in my hand!!

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home? ...oh sorry! Guess I've got Pink Floyd on the brain!! lol

I was reading something about leaving the babies in the tub (that the eggs are in now) until they became more active. Did you ever do that? Or should I remove each, as they come out of the egg? Seems like that humidity would be bad for them, at least for any extended period of time.

Don't worry...they won't be in there for very long, certainly not long enough to cause them any issues. But the more babies you have running around in there, hopping on and bumping the unhatched eggs, the better. Think of them as the unhatched babies' moving alarm clock. (I bet you could even hear them singing Pink Floyd if you listened hard enough LOL!)

I'VE GOT A BABY DRAGON!!!! :willy_nil LMAO!! I've been checking the tubs twice a day for most of the last 2 weeks. Had just about given up on any of these EVER hatching!!! But I gotta dragon!!! The first dragon that I EVER produced so I'm pretty happy right now!!! :D

I'm actually MORE excited right now than I thought I would be, but when I checked the tubs a little while ago, and first found this little one, it was all curled up on one end of the tub and I just knew that it was dead! The vermiculite had gotten a little dry (these things were laid on MARCH 27th!!) and I thought I had killed him by not keeping it moist enough. I took the tubs in the kitchen and filled my spray bottle with hot tap water to moisten up the vermiculite around the other eggs.

I turned the little one over, and it sprang back upright. I did it again, and so did the baby dragon! It's a-LIVE!!!! lol I hope to have more pics up soon!!

Oh, now that's just weird. I was going to post tonight and ask if you had anything yet...so onto better stuff.

WOOK AT THAT WIDDLE BABY!!!! What a cutie pie! Congratulations and definitely more pics, please!

Thanks Tere!!

What's the best "stuff" to put on the base of their tails, to tell them apart? Most of what I see looks like fingernail polish, but I would think that would be very toxic. I really don't NEED to put anything on them yet, but kind of wish I had a way to not forget which one was first.

Yep, I didn't dig the nail polish idea too much either. I'd imagine they'd get it all over the place before it dried. We always used a Sharpie marker, but they do tend to wear off after a few baths. I figure if I used it to draw on my kid's face for Halloween, it can't hurt the beardies too badly.

Congrats on your first beardie hatching out.

Thanks John!!! It's been an extremely exciting venture. That's for sure!!

I've got a few more starting to pip so maybe the one won't be too lonely, for too much longer. :D

Checkout the color on the head of the last pic! I hope that's a good sign of things to come as they start growing!! And the one in the second pic did NOT like it when I touched it's TINY little head!!

Somebody's coming out of that egg looking like its parents! My goodness. I can't wait to see that one when it's out.

I love that second pic. So adorable! And inside that tiny little head reside many tiny teeth! I think that one's showing you what it's going to use next time you touch its tiny little melon! :D

They're darling, Matt. I know you've got to be super excited.

Matt, you best beware, you may lose an arm to that monster with the giant teeth. Looks like you got yourself a killer beardie on your hands.

Again congrats on the babies, it only gets better.:yesnod::yesnod:

I'm so STOKED!! I can't believe how TINY they are!! lol And the color of that last pic! It's all I can do to leave them alone tonight!! :D (Bet I'll have them out pretty early tomorrow ;))

LMAO!!! Ain't that one FEROCIOUS!!! It even managed a teeny-tiny little HISS!!!!:rofl::rofl:

I wasn't sure what to expect color-wise, but I'm certainly not disappointed with what I'm seeing so far. These are only 50% het hypo, but I like them. If the one in the middle of the last couple of pics is a female, I think I'll have to keep her. They were SUPPOSED to be all butt-ugly so it wouldn't be so hard to let them go!!!! :D

OMG! Look at them!!! How many do you have out so far? Ahhh! That's just way too much cuteness. And didn't I tell you, there was 0% chance of butt uglies? Maybe now you'll listen. :D

That one in the middle of the last pic is GORGEOUS! Well, they're all gorgeous, but that one....most definitely.

OMG They are adorable!!!! Congrats on all the babies!!! Mommy did a great job :) Looking forward to more pics :)

You definitely told me there would be 0% chance...dang'it! :D So far I've got 6 out, and it looks like I'll only have 4 more. Lost about half of this clutch less than 2 weeks in so I'm thinking that they might not have all been fertilized. I'm guessing it's not that uncommon, considering this was her very first clutch. Clutch #3 looked almost perfect (maybe 2 questionable eggs).

OMG They are adorable!!!! Congrats on all the babies!!! Mommy did a great job :) Looking forward to more pics :)

Didn't she do good?? Thanks, and I'll definitely update with some more pics, soon!!

You know what? A "small" first clutch is a good thing. Gets you plenty of practice so you don't get overwhelmed with a regular sized one.

I so can't until they're up and running about and one of them blows up and gapes at you!

Trust me, that same thought has already crossed my mind about an easier start with a smaller clutch. And I was expecting the one that already hissed at me to attack my fingers when I got him out of the hatching tub!!! So far though, no one has attempted to chew off my finger prints!!

My goodness, Matt! This was so educational and CONGRATS on a successful hatching! The one in the middle is gorgeous!:)

Thanks Deb! I've had almost as much fun sharing all the "play-by-play action" as I've had experiencing the process. And yes, that one in the middle is something else. If I thought Momma was het hypo, I'd swear that baby was a hypo!

(BTW...Welcome back, Deb!! :wavey:)
