    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I love my Boaphile cages....and I agree, they are very well constructed, and for what I want, they are definitely the best buy for the money.

I have to agree ,there is no better cage around than Jeffs 421D. Thay worked so well for me this past breeding season I just ordered two more stacks,I hope to have everyone of my Boas in them here very soon.I called Jeff and told him I want to star in his first commercial.Boaphile is the Best!!!!!

My Cages Just Got Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love these cages!!!!!!!! I don't Know how we have survived as an industry without them for so long, the only other cages I have ever bought were neodesha, and these kick there butts!!!!

Well, about month ago I ordered a 421 in a custom color. Got the response that it would be just about 4 weeks to get it. 4 weeks later is showed up. Nice addition to my other 421. Very happy with it. :)

I have been nothing but thrilled with every purchase I have made with Boaphile. The quality is truly top notch!!

Sure Neil....

Customer service could use some tweaking....

Great product they produce but too bad they might have the worst customer service in the caging industry. I bought a rack from Boaphile well over a year ago and it has worked so well that I wanted to buy another one. Well, left 2 messages and put in 3 emails and never got a reply over 3 weeks. Went with another Arboreal Rack maker and got a reply in 2 hours, closed the deal by the end of the day and am receiving it tomorrow.

Normally wouldn't make too big of a deal out of a guy who I guess is doing so good he doesn't need anymore easy business from return customers but he blew off a couple other people I know who have spent a substancial amount on Boaphile caging. It made me scratch my head and then I saw this post. In fact, one buddy in particular has a whole wall of caging just like the units pictured above for his BCI's, not to mention a whole other room of Arboreal racks and cages for full adults and even he can't get Jeff/Employees on the phone or to reply to any emails and he wanted to buy more cages. I don't know, me, I would think a customer who spent over $7k on racks and cages would get a follow up call. Maybe I'm crazy.

At any rate, again, good product but the worst customer service in the caging industy in my opinion - and this is for repeat paying customers!!! Makes you wonder what kind of response you'd get if there was an issue with the product. Plus, I think they charge the most for their caging - arboreal racks in particular. You would think at those prices you'd be paying for a little customer service. Oh well, not going with Boaphile next time I need a new rack or larger caging for adults and I know a few other who now won't either.

We bought 5 d21 cages with pedestal, and heat from boaphile in January.They arrived early march, and talk about worth the wait! They are awesome. The best $1200 I have ever spent. Great communication, well built cagesthat hold heat amazingly well, with even better prices.When it comes to quality cages you cant beet the boaphile!!!

We have quite a bit of the 4 ft plastics from Jeff, we love them and always seem to be adding more whenever we can. Sure they may take some time to get to you, but if you aren't in a hurry to get them, then they are worth the wait, sometimes it can be a pain waiting to hear updates on your orders progress, but we have always gotten through and heard back from them in the times we actually wondered when they would arrive.

I only own Jeff's cages and I plan on keeping it that way for a very long time. I have purchased 20+ in the past few months and each one has been extremely well packed and arrived right when he said it would!

Customer Service- WHAT Customer service?

My first rack I ever was purchased from Boaphile & I love it. I've other racks, but I always believed the Boaphile had one of the best products out there. It's lightweight yet sturdy. Over a month ago I ordered another rack, this time for my hatchlings. I checked the 3-5 week projected waiting period & I figured this would be okay.

I tried calling the number listed on the web-site- (also automated) and was directed to 5 anonymous user mailboxes. A week later, still no call back. At the end of month one- I've no updates, & no reply to my e-mails except for an automated one listed another number- at least with that one you know it’s Boaphile related BUT the mailbox is FULL!!!

Now, I'm nearing the end of week 5- still no idea when or even if there is a status on my rack order although they’ve had my payment since mid July. I'm not at all pleased. I don't think I'll be doing business with Jeff again after this & it’s sad because I really liked the product. But customer support is non-existent & I don't do well with an information black hole. Especially since I NEEDED that rack to be done when they said it would be done. –Deb @ NorthernRegius.com

Deb, Jeff is one of the best in the business. I will try to see if I can reach him for you. Jeff would NEVER intentionally not get back with you. Just by your comments alone I would assume that there might be some computer issues on his end. Let me see what I can do but don't lose faith!

Bob, I hope you can reach him, because as it stands right now- that's my boggle. EVERY way I've tried to contact has lead to a dead end & if this order doesn't come through I'm in a world of hurt. I too have enjoyed Jeff's product, and was very surprised at this turn of events.
Thanks for your help. -Deb

Deb, I just called Jeff's number, (507) 263-7289, and just like always, he answered it within the first few rings. I informed him of your post and he would appreciate it if you would call him on the above numbers. Customer service is always #1 there and this is no exception. Good luck!
