    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am having trouble with a person named Jesse Barrett from Arizona (Phenoix area i think). He has made threats to hack our computer systems, to send me a bomb, and to shoot me. He sends me private mesasges, emails and calls us all day long. Last week I recieved over 20 crank phone calls in one day. He is supposively 14 or 15 years old, and a big boa breeder (I have never heard of him!). I have time and date stamped logs of all of the threats.I have no clue who he is! I have never done business with him.

This person seems obcessed with my company and I.

If anyone in the Phenox Arizona area has the phone number for the sherrif's office (or his parents phone number). I would be very greatful. The phone calls are getting annoying.

Corey....Why don't you just call the Arizona Operator and ask for the phone number of the Police?? duh!
Give them the info and even FAX them the hard-copy of this kids' threats! They can take it from there....good luck ....Neil
 
Neil, I have the number now. I will call them monday (im not toworried about a kid 100s of miles away).
 
Corey...sorry, buddy...but, I would take this a little more seriously than that! He's threatened your life! He's threatened to bomb your computer files! He's threatened physical harm!! have had a couple of those scenes here too but not with that character..yikes..dont these parents have control over their kids anymore? furthermore what provokes that kind of anger i wonder..
i feel for you that you have a lurch doing that and disrupting your life. not cool and thumbs down big time!!

Go the limits , in this day and age we must take all threats with great respect even if you think the person is just blowing steam....... Just kidding man.  But seriously, if you haven't already, contact the Phoenix Police(or whoever) and get this guy.  If I remember right, threats made over the internet and e-mail are considered a federal offense aren't they?  
But either way, you need to nail his monkey a$$ to the wall brother.
 
you must have some idea why he has targetted you...
what happened?
i would consider blocking his email and using the ole *69 on the telephone if you dont have caller id.  or dial the phoenix information to try to contact his parents (and the cops).
i guess that's one reason not to give out a phone number except to customers.  yikes.

I live in Phoenix and would like nothing better than to check this out for you.
Perhaps a visit to his house and a chat with his parents...if nothing else, maybe a visit from a tattooed,6',200+lb,fu-man-chewd, american v-twin riding, herper (and friends??) may make him see the error of his ways.

I think that you should take these threats seriously. There are a ton of crazies out there; and the 'net seems to bring out the worst in them. If you haven't already done so, I would definitely call either your local police or the Pheonix attachment. I guarantee you, that they will handle it properly. If you dont want to do that, Bob's idea sounds good, too.

I know that he still posts on the Boa forum on Kingsnake.  He has a post up there from today or late last night.  Either way, he is one of the first few up there.

~Always, ALWAYS take threats such as this seriously!  Last year my daughter (16) was getting email death threats. Turned out to be a girl she had known for many years who lived just down the street teaming up with another who had, supposedly, been my daughter's close friend for as many years.
~We reported it,(and yea, it IS a federal offense! ) FBI got involved and they tracked the girls down.  They found a number of emails sent between these 2 girls that were laying out a plan of attack on my daughter.  It was not pretty.
~Why? you might ask?  Because they said she was a "poser"!  
She likes heavy metal/hard rock music and had blue hair!  No other reason than that.  And, you want to talk rage?  The correspondence between them was unreal...the threats to my daughter were beyond belief!  To look at these girls, you would never believe they were capable of even thinking that way!!
~Things are still in the works. One of the girls is in a "Lock-up" residential program at this time.  The other is listed as an "accomplice".  It still scares me when I think what they were planning and could very well, have done to my child.

~Oh yeah, they usually tuck their tail between their legs and run when the bluff is called.  After what Bob said, I can't say as I blame the kid!! LOL!  I would have paid good money to see that!!  

~Keep a look out for this guy, regardless of whether he has stopped the obvious threats or not.  He is many miles away, but stranger stuff has happened.  Not that you need to be looking over your shoulder all the time, just keep it in the back of your mind. He did take the time to be a jerk, so he may just do it again, under a different name.

as for the hacking thing, get something like ZoneAlarm...grabs IP's and everything.

I had a group of girls harass me in jr high...got the whole group sent home for the week, plus a written apology from each of them after that...less than entertaining, but kids have odd ideas about who should fit in and who shouldn't. The beauty of it is, if I chose to go to a reunion in a couple of years (suddenly I feel old saying that) I know I would be doing better than 95% of everyone else...namely because I haven't been in jail, gotten hooked on cocaine, or popped out a couple of pups from different fathers.  Sad, isn't it?
 
I would take all those threats very seriously !!!  If they were serious or not you cant judge, contact the phoenix police dept. as well as the local bureau of the FBI and make the reports so you and your family are protected.  Dont take chances with loved ones, they cant be replaced !

I asked him if there was anything at the BOI on him and he said no, that he doesn't sell snakes. He has a link to some pics that aren't even his. I've seen them before. When I asked him for his phone number he said he's going on a camping trip and will give it to me when he returns. He's definitely a scammer so beware.
