In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Kolleen,

First off are you familiar with the entire importation process including all inspections, paperwork, fees etc? If not you should look into it as it is not like ordering from within the US. Also be aware that every exporter in Uganda can not be trusted. Even the ones that I have used for years still can not be trusted. Uganda is one of those countries that are riddled with exporter scammers much like Nigeria. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me privately.

Honestly, I wouldn't do it unless I could physically travel there, examine the animals in question REALLY WELL, pay him right there, and take the animals with me.

And then there's all the legal stuff.

I am familiar with all the paper work and such...but for the heck of it. Here is the e-mail he sent me.
I will definitely need to apply for the CITES permit and the health certificate here for these adult female albino ball pythons. And as for my terms of payment and conditions, I would kindly request for a proposal as follows:

1- 40% advance payment (deposit).

This deposit will help me to process all the required legal export paperwork. I need to apply for the CITES permit and the health certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries. All these documents will take only 2 business days to be out ready. And as soon as I get them out, I will send you copies of them 2 days in advance before I make a shipment to you.

This deposit will also help me to prepare the packaging that is proved on the IATA standards. I will need to make standard wooden boxes of the sizes of 60cm x 30cm x 20cm measurements with ventilation outlets and standard partitions that are needed with live reptile export packaging.

Lastly, with this deposit again, it will help me to clear all the airport expenses for the shipment. I will need to make prepaid charges (paying the shipping charges for the shipment of the live reptiles at the airport in advance). Please, note that for the shipping charges the costs will depend on how much the weight of the shipment of the reptiles will be. I will also need to pay the customs and the handling services at the airport for the cargo.

2- 60% balance of payment.

This will be the final payment which will be done after you have received your shipment of the reptiles (albino ball pythons) at your location. Please, you will have to confirm to me that the shipment has been received OK, then after verifying the results, then you can transfer me the 60% balance of payment later on.

NOTE: Please, all this process will take me 7 business days to make a good shipment to you immediately I receive the 40% deposit from you, I will start straight away to arrange and prepare everything for your shipment of the live reptiles (female albino ball pythons)) in time.

I assure you if you are a very serious buyer and interested, you will be hearing from me a lot. Am a determined and a good business-oriented live reptile exporter from Uganda. Let me know how you stand so that we can start good business transactions of live reptiles for now and forever. Its good to hearing from you,

Thanks John Kintu,

Plse note: Am a good and genuine exporter of these albino ball pythons. At least I have a good reference in Canada

Search around, there was a thread awhile back about a scam out of Africa offering adult albino ball pythons. You really have to think, what are the odds someone is going to have WC adult albino balls? And then in any significant number to export them. Why would they export them and not just breed them themselves. They would make much more money that way.

A big red flag here is he is asking for only a deposit up front to cover expenses. (Advance Fee Scam.) He then will ship and you can pay the balance after arrival. Who in their right mind would ship such high end animals intercontinetal and then trust the buyer to make good? He has ZERO recourse if you don't pay.

Sorry, but I believe if you send this person any money, you wont see it again or receive any animals.

Kolleen,

Please don't take this the wrong way. By reading your response you say you are familiar with the paperwork and such on importation, then you state that you need to apply for C.I.T.E.S. and health certificate. An importer of non C.I.T.E.S. or C.I.T.E.S. app II (which Ball Python *Python Regis* is) animals does not apply for C.I.T.E.S. documents. The documents are applied for by the exporter in the originating country. The only time an importer in the US needs to apply for C.I.T.E.S. documents is if they are exporting animals(that are governed by C.I.T.E.S. regulation) or the animal is an App I animal.

The e-mail from this person is pretty close to the exact e-mail that is being sent by a few supposed exporters in Uganda (and a few other countries including Nigeria) right now that are saying that they can export Albino, PIED, Pastel and other Morphs of Ball Pythons. While there is a small population of Ball pythons that originates from the east coast of Africa (very few countries) it is very doubtful that any of these morphs are there and much less in adult form. All the true exporters of Ball Pythons in Ghana, Benin, & Togo all know who has the morphs as there are only a few that export those morphs to the us and they are usually offered to larger name breeders such as Ralph, N.E.R.D., Bob Clark, etc. To be honest I can recommend that if you decide to try any business with any exporter that you become 100% familiar with the entire process (as the importer is liable for all problems that arise from the importation of wildlife even if you have no idea it is happening), and above all do not send any money up front. I can tell you this from experience. I have been importing for over 5 years now and I have lost in the neighborhood of $35K to exporters in Africa. Some of them have been trusted exporters for years and decide that the money is worth more than repeat customers. I just don't want to see anyone get ripped off by untrustworthy and scamming exporters or pretend exporters.

I just sent an e-mail stating this sounded like a scam, and supposidly now he'll send the snakes first and them i can pay him...are you kidding me??
BTW, I guess i should have written I was being sarcastic when I wrote id do a low dollar deal with him and see if we could find a trustworthy importer from Uganda...lol
I forget how serious this palce is sometimes...but thats why I trust what you all have to say and post here. The BOI has saved my ass on several occaisoins and im sure hundresd of others.

I love you guys!

I agree with rob, Consider any money you send over there in advance a donation!!!! THere is no need to buy an albino ball from there, even if you pay $1 for it, it will still cost you over $1500 to land it in the US
