On that page there are quit a few people stating that as well. There are also quit a few stating they knew it was Photoshopped beyond doubt.

I guess they didn't click the link to watch the actual video on the same page.

While the video and hook is real there are still plenty of doubts that it was a dog being used for bait. A accident is just as likely.

Yeah I didnt hang around long enough to examine it.

For those of you wondering the link is for one of those online petition sites. It's a petition to bring "attention" to fishermen using cats and dogs to catch sharks.

My understanding is that there was one case in these french islands where a native fisherman was caught and punished. The french government and the native islanders have stated this isn't something that regularly happens and is against the law anyways. That there is no ongoing habitual practice.

There is one single disturbing picture included within that online petition. It isn't graphic in the sense that it shows blood and gore. It is a still from a video of a dog on a veterinarian table with a hook in his mouth.

It may be disturbing but it isn't overly graphic in the sense that it shows blood, guts, etc.etc.. The image is quit sterile in my opinion.

Maybe I'm just desensitized to certain images having seen much worse from accidents on the playground.

Anyway, I think it is the context in which the image draws peoples minds to disgust and the image is seen as overly graphic. That this is a dog being used as fishing bait.

That fact is debatable. It was already proven that and similar video was faked using kittens for this same purpose to target sport fisherman. While the video of the dog isn't faked the context may well be.

Both videos can be viewed on youtube in whole. When watching things like this it is designed to trigger a emotional response. The faked kitten video was put out to extract funds out of your wallet and pull on your heartstrings.

It reminds me of a popular video on you tube that showed indigenous people killing their children by burying them in the rainforest. It was also faked for a agenda.

Anyway, the link is to a petition that includes one still from a video of a dog on a vets table with a fishing hook in his mouth. The video isn't on the petition page but there is a link.

"abit graphic" in the topic line is an accurate description in my mind.

The "extremely graphic" part comes from the context that is implied by the picture.

Cause rickrolls were funny then, and you can see previews to links in the bottom of your browser, i believe. so most people clicked with caution, or, being it WAS Hell, assumed the worst anyway. Seamus gave me bad Karma for it though. LOL. But I expected as much, or worse from it in general. Alls well, nobody died and I think T and I are still friends.
