In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello everyone!

To make along story short, I am arguing with some guy on another forum who is keeping a veiled cham, fire bellied toad, anoles and another (undisclosed) herp in a 30 gal paludarium. The enclosure has 8" of water covering the entire floor of the cage and a floating styrafoam island.

Basically, at the beginning of this post, this guy says that he has a new vivarium and he'd like to know what we thought. Of course, we all said the tank looked great and asked what he was keeping in it.

Come to find out, he's keeping a veiled cham, a firebellied toad, anoles, and another herp he won't mention!!

Now, after some argument, he made a screen-type wood enclosure that sits on top of the 30 gal. A little better than just the aquarium, but there's still 8 in of water and mult herp species in the tank!!

In my last post to him I was borderline aggressive/rude. I appologized to him for that and I hope you all won't hold this against me. I just get so upset when I see animals being treated this way.

I would REALLY appreciate all the support I can get. So if you can spare a little time to post of that forum it would be awesome. I have nothing personal against this person - I just have a love for animals.

Thanks guys!

Danny

By the way, it is a long post to read, so if you're in a rush I would recommend just reading the posts made by MuckyWaters, that's the owner of the veild setup. You'll get a good idea of his opinions.

Well, today two people posted on the forum and I just want to say thanks!!! Both people were very polite and gave EXCELLENT arguments that I had not thought of yet.

I still think that there is hope. Please keep posting ya'll!! Thanks again.
