In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ken,

That's your response to this situation?!!? I wouldn't worry about everyone elses posts, yours' screams, no I take that back, SCREAMS what your standards are.

Kevin,

I usually feel that you need to give the vendor a chance to fix the issue before going to any legal actions (a personal dislike of lawyers) but what I read by Ken's response, that is the only way you will ever see justice in this situation.

what do you mean by this or do you just like to put people down?
i just now posted after everyone finished their statements and I ASK FOR ANY QUESTIONS AND I WILL ANSWER THEM. what is wrong with that.
I am asking for your questions

Ken,

There are 8 pages of previous posts concerning this transaction. Your reply implies that you have no idea why someone would be uspet to now own a bunch of dead snakes. Surely you can see that 8 pages BEGS for your side of the story. Do you not see that your customer has a situation that needs a solution or at the very least an explanation?

Ok , we'll simplify this for you. Kevin's first post basically asks "What's going on here and what can we do to fix it?". There now you have a clearly phrased question.

all of the snakes the deal was about I shipped except for one and that was 1 puff adder. i sent several extra snakes to replace thae one(i miss counted on inventory and that is why the puff adder is missing) and if you will notice kevin HAS NOT mentioned the several extra snakes i sent him for free.
I hired someone more expierenced and that was the way i was told to pack them although the insulation was thinner that he said. i could not find any 3/4 styrofoam at the stores so i bought that insulation. he said place one heat pad in the case and i placed two. i built the boxes myself with one helper. they were made with 1x10 whitewood sides. 3/4 " BC plywood on hte bottom and 1/2" BC plywood for tops. there was 1 1/4 screws placed throughout. 12 screws on top 12 screws on bottom and 6 screws per side. I drilled 3/8 holes 9 of them in the top for ventalation. i drilled 3/8" holes on two sides and placed cottom ropes for handles to make it easier to carry.
i arrived at the airport at 4:05 pm the shipped at 4:20 pm and arrived at PDX airport at 9:36 that means approx. 7 hours totla time. i wrote VENOMOUS SNAKES on all four sides of the box and on top. venomous snakes was also on the bill of lading at the airport and i AM a verified shipper with delta.
i have 2 witnesses to verify the above information!!
by the way the black mamba in the picture on page 1 is not my snake. my snake was only 4-5 foot long and have witness of that also

to answer daniel
i just wanted everyone to type their hearts out and then here i am to answer questions.
i have spoke with KEN on the phone several(sorry kevin money man) and we can not speak on the phone nicely

Ken you mean thats

could not find any 3/4 styrofoam at the stores so i bought that insulation. he said place one heat pad in the case and i placed two. i built the boxes myself with one helper. they were made with 1x10 whitewood sides. 3/4 " BC plywood on hte bottom and 1/2" BC plywood for tops. there was 1 1/4 screws placed throughout. 12 screws on top 12 screws on bottom and 6 screws per side. you were in the construction buisness and didnt know Lowes / homedepot carried 3/4 foam ???? cmon you know better

You mean to say that you are in the the snake buisness and even thought that those heat packs would do the job ?
to me its a weak story Ken .. but thats just me ...

everyone has their own opions.
do you not think i went to home depot, lowes and called abc supply, best dist, etc and sorry to say they were all out do to the cold front we have had

Kenneth,

First off there is no reason to EVER ship using that type of foam insulation. If you could not find the correct foam, then you don't ship until you can properly package the animals. I also find it very hard to believe that you could not find the 1/2-3/4" foam. It is available at EVERY home supply company i.e. Home Depot, Lowes, etc.etc. They sell it in 4x8 sheets as well as in packages of 2x8 pieces(8 pcs per package). I buy it every week year round without problems so I doubt you could not find it. Maybe you were just not looking fort he correct material, maybe you just wanted to get away with using something you already had on hand to save the $5 that it would have cost you. Even if what you say is true that the Mamba is not the animal you sent you still packages the shipment incorrectly and are the reason that animals perished.

all of the snakes the deal was about I shipped except for one and that was 1 puff adder.

In my opinion the buyer should have been notified that one snake was missing and that several other snakes he had not ordered were being sent as replacements.

i sent several extra snakes to replace thae one(i miss counted on inventory and that is why the puff adder is missing) and if you will notice kevin HAS NOT mentioned the several extra snakes i sent him for free.

How many? Can you post the e-mail where you gave him notice you were sending additional snakes?

I drilled 3/8 holes 9 of them in the top for ventalation
i drilled 3/8" holes on two sides and placed cottom ropes for handles to make it easier to carry..

That's what let escape the little heat those 2 heat packs were providing.

to rob

if i have trying to cut corners and save oney then WHY did I BUY BC plywood and 1x10 shelving board and spend 123.00 for the materials. the insulation i bought cost 29.95 does that seem cheap???
also why would you not believe me i do not even know you or ever dealt with you

did your nose just grow ?

everyone has their own opions.
do you not think i went to home depot, lowes and called abc supply, best dist, etc and sorry to say they were all out do to the cold front we have had.
its cold here but uhm they have this ... its not something people buy due to a "coldfront" and they dont order more .. by your answer it sounds you knew what you needed but decided to forgo the PROPER material and ship anyways ..

to alvero

their are no emails about the extra snakes we spoke on the phone about them!

to your holes question ( ilearned a lesson on this) i thought they had to have ventalation that is my inexpierence and why i hired someone to help me

to alan
yes i know what to buy
WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THEY WERE ALL OUT OF THE STYROFOAM DO YOU WANT ME TO HAND MAKE IT

the insulation @$29.95

is in a bundle of 200 sf ken ... it comes like a accordian(sp) package 2x4 i beleive and is made for applying to houses UNDER VINYL siding ... i think you could have more then likely had that from your failed construction buisness IMHO

sorry alan

i bought that from home depot and in the siding buisness we use that insulation to straighten and form walls and not really insulate due to the r factor is on 0.9. i also install windows for a living NOT SIDING i may do 1 or 2 siding jobs a quarter(maybe) more money in window sales gave up on siding

ok ken if they were out

why not notify the customer that you are waiting to get the RIGHT foam insulation in and that you will keep in touch with him and keep him informed ?

Why didnt you take that 200 sf bundle and create 2"s of insualtion ? and then you could have HAND MADE it . i just think with the value of snakes that he bought he would have been MORE THEN HAPPY to wait to have them shipped correctly but basically i guess it comes down to what will you do as the shipper do to make your customer happy ?

not really insulate due to the r factor is on 0.9.

not really insulate due to the r factor is on 0.9.
so it wont insulate a home but you used it to insulate $$$ snakes ?

alan
he did not want to wait. asked him he said ship!! i do what my customers ask. as far as doubling the insulation i thought that 1 layer was enough did not know to use 2 only 7 hours in shipment. they shoud have been fine

HA HA HA HA HA HA

a house is 1500 sqft and larger on exterior walls only these boexes were rather smaller square foot
