Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

the snake is in your possesion and you take care of it. The snake actually belongs to Andrea McCartney and she is trying to sell it. Then this third person came on and said it used to be their snake and they gave it to you (Andrea) and is now mad your selling it?

I am 30 but alot of my posts are from my mobile and a shitty laptop where half the keys are on the friz. I don't see why no one can understand what is typed. It's pretty cut and dry

Ridgetop reptiles has it close. I take care of the snakes at Andrea's they were given to us to rehome from my friend. I did not want them near mine cause they had mites and stuff wrong with them and I keep more collector snakes worth ten times more. I paid for treatments and food for them. We never got them or talked with Kogarrision91 untill she posted in the classified ad. I never got a reptile from indiana. So I really want to see her post pictures and see what she comes up with

The snakes including some of mine I need to sell because I am currently paying for care on 60 animals at three locations. The last owner of this snake and his others I got the same day knows this and knew they would be listed when they were mite free and healthy. I said I would keep them two months and its been Six months. Quite frankly I am getting out of snake cept of a few. The snake economy is down. I sold several for cheaper then usual this year. As many people know I have been active in searching out freaks of nature

Can someone get what was posted in the classified ad. It would make it easier. I told Andrea to take them down cause of the b.s. since some of the reptiles were mine like the arabesques. I did not want crap going to those ads next

Could the snake in question have been a breeder loan that Andrea McCartney had? Thusly, it would actually belong to someone else.

Nope the snakes were giving to US to rehome or sell or whatever. The owner can no longer keep snakes on his wife's orders. HE left them with someone and they were left in a dank garage and when he got them back they had mites and were sick. I took them to my vet and they were all checked out. I treated them for mites and the snake in question is a common so there's no way its a breeder loan. Like I said we have never heard of this person who btw won't show on the boards.

OK, I think this is what's going on?
Clay's buddy, I shall call him "Bud" for brevity but we don't have a name, in Clarkston WA needed to get rid of all his big snakes because one escaped and his wife decided they were hazardous to their baby. Bud gave all his snakes to Clay on the condition that if they are sold, he gets half the money.
Clay doesn't want these animals housed with his snakes, and he is also trying to sell off a lot of his animals. So Bud's snakes go to a 3rd person, Andrea McCartney, who houses them but Bud still feeds them, or pays for their food.
Andrea McCartney posted an add on fauna and a 4th person, Kogarrison91, who apparently is located in Indiana (or at least I'm guessing that's what her profile says) claims in the add thread that the snake is hers and Andrea has no right to sell it. Clay steps in to say Kogarrison91 is wrong. BOI mod hhmoore stepped in and told them to make a BOI post. So, Clay has made this BOI post trying to get Kogarrison91 to settle things here. And the add in question has been deleted?

She cant tell people how to handle their animals whether they were hers before or not. The only possible way she could is if there was a written contract specifically dictating the future of this snake. And the fact she hasnt replied on here to defend these allegations is proof enough to me that it doesnt even matter.

It's not that hard. Bottom line is that the OP of this thread and another user here on Fauna are selling a snake they claimed to have received from someone.
In their original post they stated it was a rescue and they wanted $300 for it.
For whatever individual reasons some posters decided to chastise the original ad for them stating it was a rescue and also the price they were asking.
They changed the ad and lowered the price.
Then the target of this thread came onto the ad and claimed she was the person they rescued the animal from. They deny it.

Why was the weight so drastically different in the 2nd ad? From 20-25 to 15? Was it just a estimated weight, then you actually weighed her?
It's been really hard to understand, so thank you to Dennis for clearing it up.

Ok, I have read through this thread and decided it was time to put in my two-bits as it were. So, let me try to put it right.
1) Clay and I went to Clarkston, WA to pick up the snakes in a group from a man named Rob Stickley (may have spelled the last name wrong) and his wife Jessica. Rob was ordered to get rid of the snakes due to one escaping in their home while their son was on the bed next to the cage it escaped from.
2) Clay and I worked on the snakes together to nurse them back to health and I took them to my place so that they wouldn't spread their health issues to the snakes at Clay's house.
3) I have cared for the snakes and fed them (Clay has paid for the food) and I make sure that they have proper care until they get new homes.
4) The boa girl in question was actually pregnant when we first got her which is why her weight changed. Besides, it was a complete guess at first and when I changed it to 15 pounds it was after actually getting to weigh her after she gave birth to her litter.
5) KOGarrison91 came onto the thread accusing me of buying the snake from her and promising her not to sell it. I have never talked to this person before and I certainly didn't get any snakes from her. So when she showed up saying those things I was taken aback. I spoke with Rob and his wife Jessica about these snakes when we received them and all they asked was that we didn't sell the female boa while she was pregnant. We kept our word to that.
6) I am not going to argue about prices. I never lowered them to appease what other people were saying about how high they were. I merely lowered them to try to get the snakes out the door because shipping will cost me more during the cooler months and I know that.
So, that's the situation in a nutshell. Clay McCartney was doing his best to try to defend me in this situation and I removed the ads from here because of the fact that I got tired of people arguing with me and when KOGarrison91 accused me of those things it was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I hope this has helped clear the situation a little bit.

Thanks Andrea for making sense. This KOGarrison91 person needs to provide some proof of ownership/sale/whatever ... put up or shut up. And I too was wondering about the litter since Clay first said she threw slugs.
